I just looked at mine and in my box and zero straps. The buyer is incorrect that they came with it- definitely DarrinG's.

Grabbed a Max and Kaki from AE. Now to decide if i ship the Shin 0D I have with them when it arrives or if I wait two months and ship with these two.

Should match up roughly, other than the 1/48 pilots tend to be on the small side IIRC.

Agreed- the Toynami one does recess in a little more, so hopefully they work that into the finished version. But either way I'm in for one or two. Soldier mode looks much better than Toynami's.

Luna Park is finally shipping mine. I wasn't in a rush anyway- I am already looking at how I need to reorg my HMR shelf for two VF-0D Shins later this year anyway.

Yep, much as we love it, Macross (especially SDFM) is a niche interest. When the toys are focused, they are often focused on the newer Macross entries rather than what to us would be obvious choices (like doing the last two SDFM HMR destroids). If you have the option of dedicating production space and IP $ on something with more demand versus something with a smaller run, then you need extra $$ to justify swapping over.

It also justifies decisions that to me are odd (like the HMR VF-0S in noncanon Max Jenius livery instead of a different noncanon scheme like stealth or all black. I would expect them to milk the molds for more cash where they can, so noncanon schemes make sense, but I'd love the latter designs, but we're getting the Max instead, even though it makes almost zero sense. The reason? Because people will buy a hero mech, even if noncanon, over a nonstandard scheme,. So I understand the reasoning, even if I hate it. 

I'd love if they milked the VF-1D molds by making a HMR Virgin Road, though.

Looks like I'll be dropping some cash on Shin and an Orguss on March 1 now. 

Now *this* I'll pick up over the odd Max 0S.

FEXT did the OWL armor, so I always hoped they'd go crazy and make the Jotun/Orguss too. 

I still have an old set sitting on a brownie 1A I have to paint up like the black one in "Love Flows By". So I'll pass on this in favor of all the other promised goodies.

I enjoy these, but they definitely aren't smaller version of the Sentinels. They feel less fragile to a certain extent than the CMs and Megahouse but they are also a lot smaller, so it is hard to justify paying what I think I paid for my Megahouses.

If you keep an eye out, you can get the HMR Defender or Spartan for $80-100. The Monster is going to set you back typically at least $200-250 if you keep an eye out, but you will *not* be disappointed. It is HUGE, it is solid, and it is a lot of fun.

I won't be the first to say this nor the last, but grab the HMR destroids and enemy mechs. Just do it. I love the VF HMRs, but they all pale besides the destroids and enemies.

For the price.... I'm still deciding. They are decent little toys and I feel they have a bit of playability, but they are pretty costly for the size. 

Am I glad I got them? Yes. Am I glad I cancelled the separate order I had? Probably.
