  1. He looks awesome! Rolled off the assembly line and ready to punch a regult in the foot!

$115? As much as I want one, there's no way I can afford that. I've come to the realization that most people who collect macross stuff have money falling out of their asses. Or, at least, have steady incomes. *sigh* 'twould be awesome, though.

  2. Hello!

I've been looking for a Masterpiece YF-1R for some time now, and it has eluded me. They don't show up for sale very often, and when they do, they're crazy expensive! I always thought Jack Archer's Masterpiece was a shelf-warmer? Well, anyway, does anyone know where I could get one for cheap enough, say, $50 shipped? I'd like it with the box, so I can display it next to the Masterpiece VF-1A I'm going to be getting soon (hopefully.) I know Jack frugging Archer isn't very popular amongst robotech/macross fans, but I really like the YF-1R design.

[NEW] I'd also like to know how much I can expect to pay for a Matchbox SDF-1, and the Monster MAC II.

  3. but...I didn't think the whole series was released on DVD. I knew ADV did some, but they're missing some, too, aren't they? I also have to keep in mind that I'm in the US, and as such my DVD player is US-regional, and can only play US DVDs. Is there an SDF Macross DVD set available? (dubbed/subtitled w/ english?)

OMG I am so buying this. I was thinking I'd try to get some VF figures, but I remember when I got the Macross Saga on DVD, how happy it made me. Best $50 I ever spent!

    [edit] WTF!? That's not $35! It's $40!!! Shipping is $9!!! Holy crap#!$@#$!@%

I bought it anyway. Need to start saving money again. carp carpity carp carp.

  4. I loved battlecry! (yes, excluding the stupid cat's eye mission. took me forever to beat.)

Granted, that's the only macross/robotech game I've ever played. I'd love to get my mitts on a Super Famicon and a copy of Macross: Scrambled Valkyrie. However, Super Famicons are nigh impossible to find.

In battlecry, I love to put in the cheat where you get all the medals & veritech designs, then I can be a Queadluun-Rau! (granted, it's not in teh best colors)

  5. buy the macross DVD set. if you love robotech that much, the awesomeness of pure macross will simply crush you with joy. It's not very expencive and probably the best value per dollar anime in the world!

  6. I love SDF. Unfortunately, the only taste of it I've had was through Robotech: The Macross Saga. So no Minmay shower nudity. T_T lol

However, through obvious emotions, some online spanish dictionary consult, and cognates, I was able to watch the spanish dub on youtube of Macross: Do You Remember Love. I loved it! Minmay is alot less annoying in Japanese, too. XD Listening to her sing in Robotech is like fingernails vs. chalkboard for me.

I like some of the mecha in the later series, such as the VF-17S and the VB-06 Konig, but SDF had the best.

I wish there were more releases of Max's VF-1A from the series, not DYRL, and a cheaper Monster MK-II. I was lucky to get figures of both of these in a gashapon set, along with a regult, queadluun-rau, Roy's VF-1S, and Hikaru's VF-1J. They each come with their own little diorama stand, which looks pretty good to boot. The Monster was the chase figure.

Those are now the only macross items I own, aside from the Robotech: The Macross Saga DVD Box Set.

Anyway, I digress. SDF is the best, and I'd really like to get the ADV dub on DVD some time.

  7. I said that because I'd like to know if anybody here has these for sale. I'm looking for them. That way, once I have the money, I can just pay the people and get my items. I don't have to worry about looking for them. :) I've already got a couple people I'm going to be dealing with in the future.

  8. Hello!

I'm sorta new here, but I've been into SDF Macross for awhile. I've been looking for a few things for awhile, but they've been pretty efficient at eluding me. Items in bold are "most wanted." I'm looking for:

    A. Reissue 1/55 VF-1A (production colors)

    B. Toynami limited VF-1A Max (like this one: http://tinyurl.com/22p4se)

    C. Toynami limited VF-1A Kakizaki (like this one: http://tinyurl.com/2eqqsb)

    D. Toynami Robotech poseable figures YF-1R

    E. Kaiyodo SDF variable figures: Tomahawk

    F. Gashapon set (like this: http://tinyurl.com/2fsf96). I especially want the Queadluun and Glaug)

    G. Yamato VB-06 Konig Monster (If you've got one for cheap-ish. Preferably loose)

    H. Robotech Masterpiece VF-1A Ben Dixon (Preferably loose, cheaper)

    I. Banpresto Variable Valkyries (w/ or w/out armor:) Fokker, Max (not DYRL), Miriya, Hikaru (not DYRL)

    J. Matchbox Robotech SDF-1 (Preferably loose, cheaper)

    K. Quel-Quallie Theatre Scout Bugeye Model Kit (like this one: http://tinyurl.com/yrrzq8)

    L. Matchbox Robotech Destroid Monster MAC-II (preferably loose, if it's cheaper.)

    -or-

    M. Cheapest Monster figure I can get ahold of aside from the gashapon chase figure

    N. Robotech Masterpiece YF-1R Jack Archer (preferably loose, cheaper)

    O. Takatoku Macross Vending Machine DX (w/ capsules and figures, please.)

    P. Toynami 1/100 Roy Focker VF-1S (loose is fine)

    Q. Takatoku Macross Figures 4-packs

Also, if anyone could tell me how to get ahold of a copy of DYRL on DVD, that'd be great.

At the moment, I have no cash or anything to trade. However, if you could let me know if you have any of these for sale, I'd greatly appreciate it, and I'd likely get back to you later. :)

    Thanks!
