  4. You better believe T-Bob is in there! Of course, I had to look it up to remind myself what his name was...
  5. Added entries for Batman, Exo-Squad, G.I. Joe, Marvel Megamorphs, Power Rangers (a lot more than I was expecting), Storm Hawks, and Viper's Creed. I'll post up the new list, if anyone is interested.
  6. Me likey... Just seems that most of the movie-going audience doesn't quite as much. For every "Underworld" you have, what, maybe 2 dozen action movies with male leads? I'd rather spend two hours staring at Kate Beckinsale than Bruce Willis, but I don't know if box office numbers back that up for most of the people buying movie tickets. Ballad of Halo Jones... wow, I think I read that when I was about 10... been a long time.
  7. I'll try to find it. Thanks! Most of my searching has been through anime and toys, haven't looked at much manga.
  8. I thought the Gall Force one was one my list. Isn't it? I'm looking at my list now, and you're right, I don't see it on there. I'll add them tomorrow. I added about 30 more variable bikes from a half dozen shows today. I'll post up the new list tomorrow too. Can you find me any links to the Genesis Survivor Gaiarth?
  9. I bought a beat up Yamaha SRX250 which I'm going to fix up as a project with my son and possibly do into a MOSPEADA-esque bike. I'd love to chat on what your plans were for the TL1000, if you're up for it? Now, if we can get some more new MOSPEADA pics from Aramaki like he did for the cover of the Animation Bikes book, I could redo my 2005 Yamaha R1 to match...
  10. I have the book too and can scan a portion too, if that helps to get things going quicker.
  11. You probably do (and it's very cool that you got a chance to talk to him... I would love to someday), the only detail I wanted to clarify is that, according to an interview I read with Aramaki a few years back (and I've looked recently, but can't find it, so if someone can, please post the link), his original idea for MOSPEADA was for it to be a police show. The bikes would transform into robots, which were the cops' partners. That show was to be "A.D. Police." This then got changed into armor, instead of a robot, and then eventually became MOSPEADA. Later, when Bubblegum Crisis was being created, he used his ideas for the A.D. Police there, as well as the motoslaves which can transform from bike, to armor, to autonomous robot.
  12. If it's a bike that transforms into some sort of a hovering vehicle, then yes, I'm counting it. I forgot to add to that list the various Batman bikes, like the Robin Hovercycle, as well as the 2 recent GIJoe bikes that transform into hovercraft and the newer GIJoe BAT that transforms into a bike/quad. I guess you would include Storm Hawks with that too. If you meant hoverbikes that turn into robots or armor, then I included all the ones I could think of. Which ones did I miss?
  13. Do you think a live-action movie can work with all women in the leads? I know apparently Charlie's Angels worked, though I could never sit through more than about 5 minutes of it at a time, but, in general, do you think that the typical scifi/action movie-going public is more receptive to males in the lead roles?
  14. I think Aramaki is friends with him and is more kind of consulting on the project, rather than really working on it. Nandy is a custom bike builder, so this isn't supposed to be variable, just a custom bike inspired by MOSPEADA, kind of looking like a prototype for a MOSPEADA before any transformation sequence would've been incorporated.
  15. Yep, I've been checking that site and his progress weekly for a couple months now. FYI, if you right-click on the page, go to "page info", you can click on a translation of the page done by google. Not perfect, but enough to give you the gist of the page.
  16. Yes, I think so. I haven't seen them, just read some posts mentioning them, so I'm going to assume that that's it. Love to see more of Aramaki's new designs for the MOSPEADA, like on the Animation Bikes book cover. Looks like a combo of the old MOSPEADA with a Yamaha R1 to me (which, being one of the bikes that I own, makes me an even bigger fan of new designs for this...)
  17. Sorry, these were the designs I said that I actually like, though others who have posted here seem to pretty universally dislike.
  18. Am I the only one that actually LIKES this redesign? Sorry for reawakening old topics here, just discovering some of them for the first time now.
  19. Ok, here are the transforming/variable bikes that I am aware of right now. I split them up into a group that can be found in the Animation Bikes book, and then ones that I had found elsewhere already. 20. That's what I figured. There are a handful of drawings by him towards the end of the book. Do you have it too?
  21. Doesn't ring a bell. I'll take a look in the Animation Bikes book though. There are a bunch in there I intend to use, but don't remember the names at the moment.
  22. Did anyone ever get anywhere with the translations of this book? Seems like it's been a while. Thanks.
  23. I assume it was the same person who did the artwork on the author's website with his proto-MOSPEADA project bike. If it is one of the original creators, I don't think it would be him, since her did more of the Inbit design. Shinji Aramaki did the bike design for both MOSPEADA and Megazone 23 and seems to have personal contact with Nandy, the author of that book.
  24. I'm doing searches through old posts, but haven't had any luck finding anything yet.
  25. I never heard about any of this. Can you remember anything more? Anyone know anything about this?
