  1. Yeah, this became a vehicle for Walkure instead of Valkyries. I mean I have all their magazines and music they've released, so on that front Macross D has been successful. However, as a show itself not so much. Anyway, the worst I hate about this is the wasted love triangle on poor Mirage as I felt she should be standing on her own two feet. Instead she is pining over Hayate. At this point Freya has more spirit or even Ranka, than her. Ah, well almost over now...

  2. Maybe infiltration was not their first plan. They might just wanted to destroy the ruin at WIndermere as soon as possible while some of Windermere's force was at Randall.

But because of Cassim and one of the twin came after them and shot down Walkure' ship so they have to change their plan.

But why not disguise like Muko-Muko in first episode with HoloTech? Why have picnic first? :p

  3. Lots of talking while walking or riding or sitting having a picnic. Red Wolf's summary is pretty spot on. Muko-Muko seems to have a memory of Roid or at least a reaction when he captures her. I just don't understand how this infiltration episode works. None of it makes sense. I mean once again they fail and get captured. They're smaller than the Windermereans how do they think they will not be recognized. Why not use the HoloTech to disguise yourself? To me another meh episode.

  4. This is what I want to see for the end, with Siegfried's and Drakens going at it with Walkure Music mixed with Previous Macross Music. The fight choreography would be a mix of Battroid Martial Arts with a generous dose of flying. ^^

As a rookie member of Delta Platoon, Hayate is instructed to hang back while his comrades-in-arms go ahead with their mission to take down Roid Brehm after it’s learned he plans to finish what Macross Galaxy started with their Hivemind project. However, the team's cover is blown (Or did Roid already know they were attacking?), and Roid unleashes every ancient Protoculture defense system within Sigur Valens. Now Hayate must take command and lead his remaining team on an ultraviolent charge through the ship to complete -- and survive -- the mission.

  5. I have a feeling we are starting to turn against this show out of frustration. I've made it clear I was never a big fan. I've tried to judge each episode own its own. I gave this episode a neutral vote. Right now the Positive side has the fewest number of votes. I think people who have been with the series are frustrated by how things turned during the second half. The first half delivered so much more. By episode 20 people are expecting so much more.

That would be me. I actually turned a few episodes ago, but from Post to Neutral but it seems to only get worse and now I'm a negative.

  6. Agian seeing Walkure Live this past week, Delta is more about launching a real world Macross Idol group for commercial success than about an anime and it is showing in the level of animation, disjointedness and pacing on this episode. However, on the product side you see Walkure everywhere and now they have a second album dropping in September. I am assuming most of the funds are going to their real world development.

  7. After spending the summer in Tokyo shopping and buying Walkure related Macross Delta merchandise, I have come to the conclusion Macross D is nothing more than a system to deliver an Idol Group. I am waiting for a Walkure Cafe and Theater to open in Akiba. Hopefully they will sell Pineapple Salad and Ragna Water Spiders at the cafe! ^^

As for this episode, again great idol music and I liked the stuff happening at the ruins but the mecha combat was meh. Too much flash and too little substance.
