Interesting Topic. May I remind the topic starter and any else reading that. The topic that was here is pretty much off topic. Besides that it is topic about nonsense (see regs). Really we don't need look at some stupid unrelated crap I found on the net.

Then off course its features a vulgar word that another Mod edited out for fun. really if some said the word here I think we might let it slide depending how it was used. Really it would fall under interpretation by the moderators. I think the poster was very careless. Considering Agent got a ban for much worst. The post will get one too.

Let this be a lesson. If you post some off topic related crap at least make sure its general presentation of content is something we would at allow. It is careless posters like this who make us crack down on all the fun. Instead of deleting all semi-off topics to get people on track gonna instead make some examples of the most serious offenders.

I had contemplated selling the figures separately as well. The logic being that people who might want to produce dioramas may want more of the standing figures, and so purchasing a set would be wasteful.

I've tried oven cleaner (Easy Off brand) on a model car body (polystyrene) to completely remove all traces of a previously cured coat of paint.

I placed the part on a sheet of plastic wrap and sprayed the cleaner all over the kit making sure to cover it completely in a thick foamy coat (make sure you have plenty of ventilation as even the "no fumes" variety of Easy Off sticks to high heaven), then used the plastic to wrap the part to prevent the cleaner from drying off and let it sit for about an hour or so; the next thing was to use a old soft-bristle tooth brush to scrub the kit under warm running water. The results were amazing: not only was 99.9% of the paint removed, but there was no sign whatsoever that the oven cleaner attacked the styrene... had I used paint thinner the car body would have crumbled in my hands.

A bit of a disclaimer, however; I have no clue how the stuff interacts with ABS, but on styrene/polystyrene oven cleaner is a no-brainer. It has no detrimental effect on the integrity of the plastic, does not destroy small details, and will not alter the pre-existing surface finish.

I'd be interested only if the standing figure were made available on its own for a reasonable price... I don't have the Regult so a seated figure would be a waste.

Put me down as interested as well, specially if you can recast these in LV grey too.

2006, Oh, they're already proclaiming the glorious nominations and bits of high acclaim from critics that this movie is supposively receiving. It probably is a quality feature technically-I just can't get past the story...

Seriously. Here's a movie that hardly anyone outside San Francisco, LA, NYC, or France will spend good money to see, and the usual suspects are already engaged in a self adulatory cluster f**k heaping praise on this thing...and "Hollyweird" wonders why movie ticket sales are weak, with only a few notable gems once in a while, when they try to peddle such drek (Siriana, Munich, etc.) on the public.

Any and all musicals, from the inception of talkies to the present...just insert your title here and I guarantee it I'll barf all over it. I just can't stand musicals; they suck more than anything that has ever sucked in the past, anything that sucks presently, or anything that will ever suck in the future. A story is built up, drama is established, or humor, or suspense, whatever...and then the actors break into a song and dance number that completely spoils whatever mood had been established...ugh, don't get me started.

Better Off Dead -- "This mountain is pure snow! Do you realize the street value of this stuff?

Trading Places -- "It was the Dukes, it was the Dukes..."

The reason the Toynamis tend to break, specially the Alphas, has less to do with design/engineering, though they are definitely over designed and under engineered, but more due to the piss poor quality of the plastics used and the asinine choices of what parts to make out of die cast.

I wouldn't put down Hackman's Luthor as inferior or less serious then Spacy. We have yet to see the finished product and basing it on a single screenshot is foolish. We all know what kind of an evil bastard Hackman can play. Runaway Jury and Crimson Tide come to mind. Sadly the "Otis Factor" ruined Luthor's image into almost a comical version of Supe's arch nemesis. Oh yeah and MISS TESBACHER!, didn't do it for me either.

I wasn't putting down Hackman's Luthor, or his ability to play the "heavy", but his characterization was rather tongue in cheek... more like an inspired, mischievous sociopath than an evil, calculating, megalomaniacal genius, specially starting with the second movie. Having Fat boy and Bimbo as sidekicks to Hackman's somewhat flippant real-estate-tycoon-wanna-be Luthor didn't really help to establish the character as Super Man's greatest foe either, IMO.

I'll readily agree that we don't know what Spacy's take of Lex will be, and one screenshot is hardly enough to make an educated comparison; for all we know, Spacy could play him just like Hackman did (for continuity's sake), but the overwhelming first impression seems otherwise... foolish? maybe, but it's amazing how, more often then not, first impressions are correct. We'll find out in due time.

you'll have to count me out on this 1/60.  $150 is by far too much money for a small model, as Yamato tends to flood the market and stop producing and then restart producing with a couple improvements and reflood the market once again.   I'm going to wait and see if the price shaves off $100 down to 50 over time.  They've got to be nuts.  I could understand if it was a 1/48.

1/60 VF-0 = 32cm in fighter mode

The VF-0 is a big bird, far larger than the VF-1.

Yeah, the sizes are deceiving if you're not used to think in terms of relative scales. To put the relative sizes in a real world context, the VF-0 is about the size of a F-14 Tomcat or F-15 Eagle, while the VF-1 is more akin to a F-16 Falcon or AV-8B Harrier II in size...the Zero is a much bigger bird than the VF-1. And to really blow your mind, a SV-51 would be bigger than a SU-27 Flanker... that's gargantuan.
