  1. Yoshi is on the opposite end where Tisnic99 is located at. Yoshi's booth is at the far corner right next to the booth selling a whole bunch of Wrestling items and bootleg concert, wrestling, and t.v. series dvds.

I bought a Mospeada and Southern Cross books from Major Tom at F&S a while back, good seller.

Yeah. Yoshi is the Japanese guy with white hair and glasses. He's usually there unless he's in Japan then it's his wife.

  2. I've got myself this SDF Mikimoto box as well. Pricey they may be but they are made tough. Metal (some type of metal?)

boxes with this much attention to detail are a must have. I fit my whole collection in here, including my M7 Box sets.

But not my SDF dvd set.

The SDF Macross boxes were made to fit the original Animeigo 9 disc set, Flashback, DYRL, and the 20th Anniversary DVDs...so 12 all together.

  3. Yeah, Kiririth did a great job and the location was perfectly suited for the con.

Here's the basic rundown of events.

Check in, meet and greet other members (although I didn't really get a chance to meet new people) and some last minute set up

Screening of the subtitled DYRL TV special that was shown about 4 years ago unsubtitled at that year's MWcon. Ask Solscud about getting a copy.

Mari Ijima's performance. I think she did 5 songs. 2 old. 2 new. 1 Macross

Poker tournament - Which I just happen to win. haha

xstoys showing of his poster collection with a lot of rare pieces

xstoys exhibition of his custom 1/55 VF-1D still in progress since the last time but with damn cool features

video games through out the day in the "media" room

custom contest - Nightmareb4Macross's Monster Munny won, 2nd to hirohawa's Blue roses custom, 3rd to Jasonc, honorable mention to Orguss

It was a lot of fun and there were a lot of new faces...at least new to me. If I have any of the info wrong, someone who knows better should chime in.

  4. I think it was christopherb that had a custom diorama at one of the MW cons. Do a search on the boards for that. It had a Blue Roses custom 1/48, a moving arm, Minmay poster and a lot of other little details.

  5. Regarding the limited run of the MPCs, I believe that the MPC vol1, the Rick VF-1J was the ONLY MPC to sell out causing the increase in the run from 10,000 to 15,000 but that was all based on the hype and die cast content.

After everyone was severely disappointed, no other VF-1 veritech hit the limit for the production run. That's how the Roy VF-1S was "reissued" a while back when the prices hit about $200 on ebay for them. The production run was still below the 15,000 limit that was promised. So even though they say it's a limit of 15k or whatever I don't think there are actually that many in circulation.

I'm not sure about the alphas but since it seems like there was even less hype about them it could be possible that they are still under the promised production run.

  6. lots of places to shop......forums shops, fashion show mall, the venetian and the shops at hard rock casino(aladdin) . theyre all in the vegas strip. hey bigkid....maybe you could bring a strike/fast pack and sell it to me while youre here.

Sorry, I meant shopping for anime but I guess with F&S in our backyard anything might pale in comparison.

Oh yeah. That could work. Do you want a regular one or a stealth?
