I think it just means this "first edition" will be the only release with a tampo printed fighter display stand and a fancy slip sleeve cover....if you look at the pic....later releases will probably just be the box without the extra stand box....very similar to what they did to the HMR -1S Fokker.....except this time everyone gets the stand that orders on July 27th ans it all fits neatly in one box....

...the other comparable release would be the HM VF-1A Kakizaki...on that one,  ordering the VF-1A Kaki also got you a fancy box to "store" your Skull Squadron

It's what it says there, the base is only provided for the initial run with the sleeve to bundle them up, but it didn't say how many bases are there for the initial release.

Let's repost the video here, shall we. ;)

It has a waist swivel joint on the nosecone. I wonder if this going to use a swivel bar for the legs. And if so, how it will rotate at the same time with the nosecone. I wonder.

This is always the millions dollars question when a new toy line on VF-1 is released.

And the VC-079 civilian model -- SNN Valkyrie... heck, it had far more screen time than the VF-XX.

... And they gotta include the launch booster, too.

I assume this thing doesn't come with landing gear.

  4. Easy pass. Work harder to fetch that price, Arcadia. I have every copy from Yamato, but none from Arcadia. What came out from Arcadia are basically re-issues of Yamato without any improvements or extras except a hue or purple.

I'll consider it as premium version if Arcadia throws in a service ground crew with assorted utility vehicles, but that's just me.

I thought the Spartan was going to be a web exclusive? If it's not, I wouldn't be worried about preorder madness... it seems the HMR series is beyond that now with all releases becoming obtainable after release since the VF-1S Hikaru.

Agreed, the only gripe I have is the price of these HM-R is pretty much the same as the Yamato's 1/60 line back then, but smaller in scale.

The "Rick" figure looks too small inside the cockpit....

That's what I feel when I first saw the thing. I also think that the control panels on each side should angle down further to have more room for "bigger" pilot.

  7. True. But I don't think there will be visible marker or stickers that says Robotech on it so I think that's fine. Unless ofcourse if you turn it upside down, then you will see Harmony Gold etched to the plastic base underneath.

It's not about whether or not the toy or box says Robotech, it's the fact that the royalty goes to HG instead of BW.

  8. It says only 500 units will be made, comes with the same scale Hikaru figurine. I do hope that it's not a 3 years old toy that makes certain sound clips, but it does say Speaker with real LED panel on the main monitor.

You can choose your desired production serial number, which doesn't make sense to me unless they are talking about the tail number.

  9. Found this from toy daily, I'm not sure who makes this but it's 90cm in length.
