  1. Over a decade ago I bought Macross II Vol 2 cd. The cd has 26 tracks and all the track listings are in Japanese and was wondering if anyone could give me the track listings in English, or a site with them. Thanx in advance.
  2. Back in the day I bought all the Robotech vhs tapes that I could find(I ordered the old Palladium versions of 2nd and 3rd Generation). I bought Akira and I had dubded a few tapes from buddies to get Macross Plus, Macross II, Miyu, Genocyber, Vampire Hunter D and some others. So, outside of Robotech tapes(which were about 30) I had about 6 other tapes of anime. Then years passed, spent using Dragon Ball and Sailor Moon as anime to watch. Then came dvd's. That's when I went nuts and bought tons of shows(Cowboy Bebop, Silent Mobius, all the Kenshin and Escaflowne, Evangelion, Lodoss War, Bubblegum Crisis and about 40 other series. I would read an online review of a new series and then buy it. This went on until about 2 yrs ago. Now I usually rent first, then buy, but now I'm reverting back to just buying them and saving money on renting. Most series I can get for around 30 to $40 bucks on eBay but I'm trying not to be like I was previously, when I would buy a series a month. Too musch $!!. So, for me I own about 95% of what I 've watched and have about 60 complete series and about 20 OAV's on dvd. Not good, but not bad either.
  3. When I first started watching anime, I would rent them. Then I started buying some series that I had rented(Cowboy Bebop, Escaflowne etc). Now I pretty much buy them, either because of good reviews, word of mouth, or even if the director or producer is someone with a good rep. Occasionally, a friend will tell me of a good series and if I watch a few episodes I'm usually hooked. So, the question is simply, given the amount of anime that you have seen, how much of it is in your home right now, as opposed to ones rented or borrowed on watched online("copied") etc. Just curious if I'm the only who has bought quite alot.
  4. I'm going to watch them all eventually, but was looking for opinions on which one of the following is the best of this lot of anime series. Thank you for your thoughts. Spiral My-Hime Ghost In The Shell :S.A.C Burst Angel Hikaru No Go Tsukikage Ran Law Of Ueki
  5. Has anyone seen Tetatoko Princess? I saw a trailer for it on one of my dvds. It looks like it's done by the people who did Slayers. Any info would be hot. Also comments on these other shows would be neat. Tanx! Bleach Ruin Explorers Gatekeepers Blood +(tv series) Fushigi Yugi
  6. i've heard very bad things about sd gundam force. is it really a bad show. i know little about the gundam series but am about to start watching gundam seed, which i here is good. my friend also has some sd gundam but all the reviews i've seen say it's not very good. also if you've seen any of the shows below, your comments would be appriciated. tank-u D.N Angel Twelve Kingdoms Angelic Layer Samurai 7
  7. Many responded to part 1 with mech fighting so i've broken down the category a bit. So what's your fav anime fight in the following categories. Space fight(one-on-one or armada battle) Plane fight (atmospheric)(ie non-space)(can be transformable plane like Macross Plus) Mech fight(self explanatory) Robot fight(you know the difference between them and mechs) Giant Fight( battles amongst large folk) Group battle(one where multiple fights are going on. Can be any of the other category types too...i guess?) Horror fight(you know the type. the one where evil is sure to win) Car/automobile fight/car chase etc. Just a fav scene involving cars(ON THE GROUND) not flying cars though. Fav description of an attack/sword etc( you know when they describe the history of the attack etc or even when they have a fantastic name/magic call for the attack itself. Best location of a fight(where the fight took place had you thinking "wow") Any other category fight(i can't think of any other "types" so put any other of note that you feel deserve mentioning) there may be a part 3...
  8. spike vs pierre le fou in cowboy bebop. though not just hand-to-hand, i still think it will qualify...
  9. What do you think are the best anime fights of the following types? BEST SWORDFIGHT think Kenshin BEST HAND-TO-HAND COMBAT FIGHT think Crusher Joe BEST MONSTER/DEMON FIGHT BEST MAGIC(MAGIC USER) FIGHT think Dragon Ball BEST GIRLFIGHT(...now I know that anyone of the above categories could involve girls, but nonetheless, as applicable, place a response here too) BEST OLD MAN FIGHT(you know the kind. When the Sage/geezer of the show, steps in to kick butt)
  10. One the way home from work i found a dvd between the seats. It's pretty scratched but actually works. It's an anime called Kamyla. It seems pretty adult but the disc i found was disc 2 (of 2 i believe)... has anyone seen this show. Just wondering if it's worth getting the first volume to watch... tanx!
  11. I was reading some episode synopsises. Yes, they had some of the DC villians so i am curious to how they portrayed them...As I recall it was a half an hour show, with limited budget(you know what i mean-special effects) so on some levels it may seem corny... but then again i hear that alot about Star Trek TOS. Maybe i'll rent it first... i have S1to 4 of Smaville on dvd too btw
  12. Just wondering if the late 80's /early 90's live action Superboy show was any good. I am a big fan of Smallville and just thought it might be neat to check Superboy out on dvd. Anyone who watched it, place your insights and comments here. Tanx!
  13. There used to be a website that had gameshark codes for all versions (ie North American V1, Japanese etc) for all systems. I have a Version 1 Gameboy Advance Gameshark and can no longer find a website that gives codes for it. I got some from gscentral.com sometime ago for Robotech Macross Saga and I wanted to check if they had any new ones. That site is no longer available. Does anyone know of a website where they have an archive of codes for older versions of Gameshark? Tanx!
  14. It's good to see that most of us have decided to live on Earth.
  15. Just looking for comments on the following shows. Any info would be hot! Lost Universe Ruin Explorers Legend of Galactic Heroes El Hazard tanx
  16. i wonder if Mospeada and Southern Cross are going to get dubbed too. Why not! If you're going to fire bullets at yourself, you might as well die. As much as I like ADV and how they've helped anime grow in their way, it should not be dubbed. Of course i will still by it because...i'm a hypocrite?...
  17. Just curious if anyone knows why the 2 shows Outlaw Star and Angel Links interwove characters and places. I know the 2 shows were done by the same company but was there anything more to it? Were they written by the same people? Did the crossover extend into their respective comics/manga? Further to that, are they any other anime shows that literally acknowledged another shows characters and/or "universe", so to speak? Tanx
  18. I have seen Robotech The Movie once. It used parts from other anime and also had characters from Robotech: The Sentinels in it too. Just wondering if it was ever released officially for purchase and/or if it ever made it to dvd.
  19. anyone know any good sites to get videogame music mp3's? Full soundtracks if possible? Of cousre you do. SO TELL ME!!! Tanx!
  20. where is a good site to get anime mp3's. are there any with full soundtracks out there? Just trying to shore up my collection. Any help would be hot.
  21. well i was going to ask about Carmegeddon but... Violence Jack? Never heard of that one and maybe I was better off having not. I actually like new stuff too, but the ones I want to get aren't finsihed issuing out domestically(Full Metal Alchemist, Inu Yasha and GITS: SAC) so I thought I'd hunt for old school stuff. "One day I will have every anime on dvd...but then again...one day I will be dead" Cheers
  22. ...harsh guys and girls. True, it wasn't the best. But the english dub is quite hilarious(not in the good way). The voice actors sounded drunk(drunk in the good way). I was a typical horndog teen when i first watched it too... so maybe that is a factor. I'm not saying it was a masterpiece but it was not that bad. Mind you, the fact that there is no info about it at all may suggest it's ultimate place in anime lore... Fine then, how about Goku: Midnight Eye Kabuto: Dog Soldier any of those on dvd anywhere?
  23. Anybody heard of this anime? My friend showed it to me once on vhs but i'm wondering if anybody knows if it is on dvd or not. Any info would be hot...
  24. Hey maybe they (ADV) will get Macross 7 and dub it. Also Macross: DYRL and dub it(yes I know there is a dub already of DYRL, but it's pretty bad). Then they'll get Macross Zero and dub it.... Then they'll re-dub Robotech to coincide with the voice actors on Shadow Chronicles...(joke) In all seriousness, money talks so they will not listen to anything posted on this site. I personally cringe at the thought of a dub to Macross. "Changes is rarely good, but always different"
  25. I've decided to look for the HK Boot of Mospeada. I have the ADV version but I was told that the HK boot version contains Live Love Alive("the mini after movie") and I would like to see it even once. Where online could I search to find it? Ebay seems to not have it anymore. Tanx in advance!
