Wow, I'm really impressed with the detail in these. Are these going to be static models, or will you be making them to have articulation, like rolling wheels, folding wings, and maybe the ability to make it with landing gears up or down?

The wheels should be rollable on this and crates will be removable

Nice work. What scale will these be in?

Everything is built to 1/1 scale so it can be changed within the slicer to whatever scale is wanted, however the parted versions are cut to be able to fit the standard large resin plate. For the vehicles i will include a size cube with the settings for 1/72 and 1/48  versions.

  3. I would want to consolidate all models i make that will be up for sale here, i plan on making a lot ( over time). Hopefully feedback can be left during the creation process so everything can be made as high quality as possible.

    First up is

It basically looked different in every image so i just had to find an effective middle ground  and added some additional body details

Much appreciated, Big s!! And to everyone else showing interest in this; I felt bad for SpacePirateKeo and wanted to help him out. :)

Ah no worries, thanks for the bump...i just  need more time in life. Im a bit worried im not getting  my feet planted firmly enough in this new life. I was hoping of branching out  into  a new side business...or two. Im honestly worried a little bit  what happens with AI in the next two years....right now its fine. If i dont have my current job i cant live where i live. That and i love building kits  so its natural.  I have a ton of macross stuff lined up.   Im also working on other things. Heres  a model of the eborsisk from Willow i made , printed and painted...thinking of dropping this on artstation as well.  file.jpg?1695130725

I might be able to help with decals for it, too, if you weren't already thinking about making them yourself. The yellow and white banner wouldn't take too long to design, and based on how you made the top piece, all you really need is the white text since the rest can be painted yellow. The red and blue artwork with the black lines on it, that spans the six cans, would be a little more challenging due to the curved surfaces and how everything has to line up, but is feasible. I'd need the print files for the machine to do everything correctly. You could include the decal artwork file with your print files. I wouldn't want any compensation, just offering to help another fan. I could probably print a few decal sets for folks who are interested.

    Petite_Col.png

If you   would like to  make decals that would be cool, id rather you get compensated for it though.  I tried making actual mesh for the font....which looked nice but when i tried to print it out it was way too thin...so yea i think decals would be best.  The cans are all one mesh.

  6. Ill get a copy up at shapeways soon...for the print file version  im gonna just drop it on my artstation(i can make it really cheap since artstation takes only a small cut). For the print file  version i made a few extra options  that are thrown in...such as a single solid version...and option clear  glass pieces. Once im done painting and get some screenshots ill throw them up.

Actually, I'd love to see this on shapeways! Please don't let the low responses here get you; most of my stuff goes uncommented on much of the time. :(

Im currently painting it , its been slow, i realized i really need to buckle down and learn japanese ( which despite trying every  advice and  method imagineable  has been  slow) or risk putting my future here at jeapordy. So it may take awhile  for future builds.

  8. Seeing if theres any interest in this and in what format you would be interested in. If you have a better option for getting the actual model outside  shapeways im open to ideas. The print data would be sold on my own artstation.

A "sort of" vehicle.  Has anyone ever taken a swipe at the Macross-2 Minmay Attack Hologram Platform?  Does it have a formal designation? I'm looking to kitbash it with plastic bowls and some mixed media, but the sketches of it and the screenshots I've grabbed are a bit rough to plan with.  The comic was indeed comical, not even close.

Any ideas on source image files?

Interesting though i already have a lineup of ten or so in the pipeline...bit hard to tell whats going on in the concept. maybe ill do some m2 models someday.

1/72 scale accurate Destroid pilot.  I am willing to pay commission on this. However if I pay to have it made. I want the files :)

No personal commissions, however i may make what you want in the future regardless. That being said im not really much of a character artist.

  10. Successful Print ( although i forgot to print out the cans, ill do that next weekend)  but the new tooling came out nice so i will move forward with putting this up. So now i have to figure the best distribution method. I think i will make a new thread for it to see what the interest is for it. If it does decently i can move ahead with some of the other models which are more complicated. Everything i make will be  equal to hasegawa level tooling in detail. I want to focus on 1/72 scale although i would like to do some 1/48 since hasegawa wont make anything but vf1 and vf19. Id also like to make some extremely detailed cockpits for the existing 1/48 as well as some addition parts, interior engine cutaways etc.

Theres two additional pieces for this kit ( besides the cans) They are window parts to cover the cans and the marquee however i dont have clear resin so i didnt waste resin on them.

    7tlLqoFh.jpgKuZyHI3h.jpg6S6aPH0h.jpg

Pieces just layed on top, nothing glued in which is why some parts are at angles

  11. Printed out two versions of the petite cola machine...they had some minor issues but it allowed me to see what needs to be imporved upon for printing. The final build will have two versions...a whole version for small prints and a and a parted version for large...up to 1/1   theoretically since i built it at full scale. More soon

  12. First up will be a  Petite Cola machine, depending on distribution method  it will likely be in 1/12, and 1/6 scale. There is some work to be done and im adding some extra details. I will be doing a test print in 1/12 scale this weekend. This is a brand new orginal mesh unrelated to the old one..sticking more closely to the original concept.

  13. Thanks for all the suggestions...not sure of distribution method yet or pricing. I might use gambody or shapeways although id rather not have prints floating around...i wish i could create a dedicated shop going forward but shipping from japan really isnt going to be worth it for customers. Anyway ill figure that out after i get a few of these printed out. Today i blocked out 5 of the first 10  initial models. Ill reveal them as i add detail and they near completion..with work..it may take awhile. I actually might have an obscure valk or two  in there as well 😉.

  14. So now that im in a different place...its time to revive this. I picked up an elegoo saturn 2...ive been making prints.  Id like to make things the big guys wont touch....rare valks...maybe down the line when i have time. However smaller things...ground vehicles etc...Tell me what you would like to see. Dont be afraid to really obscure...seriously..petite cola machines...the holographic  arcade table..etc...but really id like to make some obscure vehicles.

I could help you with your power plan. What do you have in mind? An On/Off switch for the entire lighting, or something more controlled with an arduino? Either can be fairly simple.

Question 1: Do you plan to solder?

Not sure about soldering, i think i can get a cheap one in akihabara though. Def wanna do an on off switch. Thanks!

@SpacePirateNekoCheap LED strips/LED tape are super easy to wire up and use and most come with a dimmer knob/on off switch.  I've used them on all of my lighted builds thus far. They come in different styles, but if you can get the double density ones, they give you more diodes per inch.  Also, you can spray Tamiya acrylics directly into them to change the color. Just my .02

That sounds good...i basically wanna get the side lights on the ship  and then a few strong deep blue ones for the boosters. Do you have any links to the set you purchased? I looked up strips on amazon and there  is a ton of variety out there. Thanks for the tip!

  16. Would kind of be a waste to not get this star destroyer wannabee not loaded up with LEDS. Anyone know any good guides to getting that done in a fairly cheap manor? Ive seen many guides but they all seem to focus on the drilling and installing...thats the easy part though. Im trying to find out how to actually get this stuff wired up..like whats the power source, hows that all work. Yodabashi sells pretty cheap LEDS.

Such a dirty VF-1... to the car wash! haha!

    Nice build though :)

yea never been a fan of the  off the factory line look with valks.....roys been smashing through spaceship hulls...i expect hes picked up some dirt and oil. I thought it would work good since i wanted to leave the leg panel off
