we all survived zentradi bombardment since we are posting here... so where did you end up in our current year.
- 2025: Megaroad-13 colonizes planet Varauta
- 2027: Windermereans first encountered humans upon the Megaroad-04's discovery of their planet. Diplomatic relations were established on terms which some Windermereans strongly resented.
- 2030: (September) new Macross class transports or New Macross-class are launched.
- 2031: the 21st colonial expedition, Macross Galaxy, launched from planet Eden. Macross Galaxy fleet is also said to have been composed of "9th Large-scale emigration fleet, the 51st Super-Long-Distance colonization fleet and the 21st New Macross Class Emigration Fleet". Lead ship: Macross Galaxy aka Macross 21

all these wonderful hasegawas over the last few years...and i now live where i can get to akihabara or Leonardo in 20 minutes. Yet i cant justify buying them since i have such a large backlog of models =p. I really really really wish they would make a new 1/48.

Sorry , its been awhile. Basically, i have been having an allergic reaction that causes random welts and swelling in hands and feet. Had a test, no allergies found, no blood problems found. I still have no idea whats doing it. I know its not the resin, i havnt touched anything in months, for now everythings on hold. If i can return to this in the future im going to focus on the obscure flying craft only.

Definitely interested! would this nprint in 1/.48 as well?
The set will come with parts for 1/72 , alternate slightly more detailed parts for 1/48 version. Split parts for smaller 3d printers, and non split parts if you have an industrial printer. As well as all that , it will include all sizes at 1/1 so everything can be scaled at will with instructions on what percent to scale the parts to for the scale you want ( ex its 13.89 percent for 1/72). All parts have interlocking pieces so its easier to fit and glue.

welp....user error. Wasted about 30 dollars worth of resin because i didnt notice i hadnt filled enough resin into the tray. Everything wasted except a few small parts. The good news is , everything looks good to go. However id like a completed print before i sell this. Even though the model itself is good, i refuse to sell anything unless i have a successful print to show you guys. Next week is golden week so ill have lots of time .
I havnt seen many responses to this post ....is anyone still interested in this?

So, i did a 1/72 test print. Most of it is really good, however i am going to have to revise the details and some aspects of the cabin, most of the pieces are just too frail and delicate at that size including the window bars of the cabin. I am going to make a seperate cabin for 1/72 prints with thicker bars and a simplified dashboard. The original cabin will be included too for 1/48 and larger builds if you so wish. The set will include a 1/72 version, 1/48 version and individual 1/1 free versions. The price is going to be around 25 dollars. I will revise the 1/72 cabin this week. and should have it printed next weekend. If it all goes well it will go on sale the next day . pictures incoming later.

Anyone have any advice on the best way to print these, ie particular low priced printers and best brand or type of water slide paper?

1/144 wave SR1 Engage coming to a close. I think it came out OK. I’m having the worst time with dust and debris in my paint. Really annoying when going for high gloss look.
Anyway, this build just needs a few decals and then it’s time to finish up that Hasegawa Regult that has been sitting in its box primed and ready for paint. Feels good to be building again.Looks great! im working on a 1/100 junchoon now, i have no idea why these wave kits are so expensive....the tooling is awful, giant gaps and warped edges. I have a full boomerang kit too...i hope that ones better.
-
Ill prob move on to these first
-
Sorry for the long delay, all thats left is to do is finish up the cabin dashboard and then the grueling process of splitting it up properly. Almost there,
The bomber and vf-7 has already begun. I may do a quick little truck inbetween that just to get back on track.

Anyone else a resident of Tokyo or close enough. Just wondering how many of us there are and if anyone would ever want to plan anything ( or even just take a trip to Leonardo or broadway
-
Does anyone know a good website to find scanned old decals to print out yourself? So many of my kits are so old the decals fall apart so easily. I tried spraying them with surfacer and other techniques and they still crumble.
-
I think ill call the gold knight finished, the volks models are awful tooling, i should have filled the caps. Whats on my workbench though? many many things, See if you can guess with whats visible .

Broken record here: I still keep hoping Hasegawa will release a 1/48 VF-1D fighter some day…
I mean i think its great they are finally making more new things....but how they havnt done a 21/22 yet as its the companion in the film...i just dont get. Or at the least if you are doing only the "main" valk from each series in that scale....go beyond plus
-
eh theres already a million 1/72 vf-1s out there...i would have to make something bigger to get ultimate detail
-
Just wondering...as far as an ultimate VF-1, Vf-19 or any of the most popular of the VFs...whats the largest scale people are willing to have sitting in their room.
1/32
1/24
1/18
1/8
-
oh lord just release a new valk in 1/48
-
blaaaaaaaaaaaah can we just get a new 1/48 already. Seriously the 1/48s are usually the same price as some of the bulkier 1/72 models here...so its not like its a money loss
Its a crime we dont have the 11 and 21 in scale. Especially considering the number of variations that can be gotten out of em...but i guess we havnt even gotten many of the 19 variants either.
As for 1/72 i really wanna see the rest of The Ride variations

Got some updates in today..i have to more or less invent the undercarraige using truck reference, ill add additional small details but i dont wanan lose that 80s macross chunkiness too much. Next up....the cabin which ill also have to more less design myself...but i dont want people to have to use opaque glass lol.
Just wondering in advance how many people are interested in buying this stl...price will float around 15-20 bucks depending on how many hours and how much detail i add.
If it sells well enough...i will dive right into ...probably the vf-7
Also i have decided to reduce the price of the Petite Cola Machine https://www.artstation.com/marketplace/p/ADGGX/macross-petite-cola-robot-3d-print

Well... that's the paradox. I'd jump on a VF14 if you offered. The market for most of these specials is large, but the message doesn't get broadcast to this side of the ocean effectively when a Japan garage shop releases at Wonderfest. So when examples like these do go on sale years after the fact, the EBay price point is astronomical. Patreon and Kickstarter are helping bridge the gap a bit for one's designed outside Japan.
VF1AG (Armored Gerwalk ) is nearing completion. If that does well, it should be a solid indicator of how a VF14 would do.
Well...i do also live in Japan. However as of now i only design them and then sell the stls to print. For now anyway until i can find a good solution for selling kits themselves. As of now i only make them and release on my artstation.....i wonder how to get more traction liek this. Eventually i am interested in opening up my own business like this , getting licences etc.
-
If a lot of people want this ill add it to my to-do list. Im almost done with the centipede ( i need to design the interior which there is nor reference for ). Ive always had an interest in the vampire
-
Id recommend just putting it on artstation, you have more control and they only get a few percent of sales......
Then again after 6 months im not doing so good =p

Wow, I'm really impressed with the detail in these. Are these going to be static models, or will you be making them to have articulation, like rolling wheels, folding wings, and maybe the ability to make it with landing gears up or down?
The wheels should be rollable on this and crates will be removable
Its 2025.... where are you in the macross universe

Yknow i think id be stuck on earth too...dreaming of heading out towards the stars. That would make a great concept ....maybe 2110, earth was again decimated by an event and earth is long forgotten by the colonists that had since long departed into the stars. A lonely story of someone who wants to head out towards the stars but has to get some leftover ancient valk tech working, builds a new valk out of it,
