way back in the day i purchased 2 eva kits that wer'nt bandai or tect

they were plastic and i think the name was either orient hero or some thing

each box had static cell image of each of the particular eva profile head

they went for like 40 bucks and i think they might have them at mandarake

i'll go hunting

but they really capture imo the feel of the eva's

but they are a real bitch to put together
