I believe Gashapon relates to those small figurines you can get at slot machines in Japan(anybody correct me if I'm wrong).

I got some Trigun gashapon about a year ago, and I think they are pretty well detailed for such a small figure(about 3" tall).

Gachapon refers to "capsule toys". The ones that come in a little plastic dome. The name, oddly enough, is supposed to be the noise the machine makes as you turn the crank and the capsule pops out.

Started in 1977 with Star Wars(gave away), then GiJoe(now sold) and transformers(now sold). 1988 I got my Imai variable. It all ended 1989.

Restarted in 1994 with the Star Wars action fleet (small ships), It ended in 1998.

Restarted in 2000 with the M+ "toycom" , and so far I've got pretty much everything Yamato has put out . Also I got 12" Star Wars dolls, Trigun's Vash and Wolf(Kayodo) Some TF's(6)(including a complete Jetfire ), and some Gundam W(1/60 Perfect grade, FiX 006, etc...).

So far, I just want all the 1/48s, and most possibly the 1/72 YF-19. I just want to collect Macross, nothing else. I'll probably just sell everything else on Ebay.

If, I could only get a good deal on the DYRL VF-1S Hikaru 1/48, I would be the happiest man arround.

I personally think Carrie is not the best looking femme on earth, but I also think she can be very sexy, and look very good if she wants to. Her image in the Matrix is rugged. She is a fighter, and I believe as an actress, she plays the role very well.

As for the Animatrix, I love all of it. Even "skater" boy is good. An the running man is a clear message that elaborates even more on what's happening in that crazy world.

I really like the Low Visibility scheme. It looks much more realistic when you compare it to the other 3 1/48s and I'm starting to dislike the other 1/48s plain white color. Those white 1/48s just are not very pleasing suddenly...

I will also get more Low Visibility VFs myself, but only 2 more for a total of 3.

While I think the Low-Vis is great, you can't deny the power of a Strike Hikaru 1A fully loaded, and with the stickers applied. Its just anoyingly beautiful.

I love the Low-Vis, and I love every 1/48 too.

yeah. its a cheap one my folks got me. its usually okay, i just have no skills at photography.

Go closer to the "subject", and don't use your flash. Or if you can cover the flash with a piece of white paper. Also use other sources of like. For example, desk lamps. Play with the direction the light strikes the Valk. You'll see the difference.

I shot that pic really slow. I use one and two light sources, plus a filler. I love these valks. I think the M+ pics will be next, but I still need to sticker them up, so they look nice on the pics. I'm not taking pics of naked valsk anymore. At least the Kite and the number, at the very least.
