Hurin's subs will work with DYRL (shouldn't have to retime them either) and it wouldn't be too hard to rip the subs from one of the fansub releases of MacZero (ripping hard subs can be done apparently).

Actually there was a subsequent "International" DVD release of GITS2: Innocence with English subs. Even the Japanese Bluray of GITS2 has English subs. The majority of the classic anime films that Bandai Visual will be putting out on Bluray/HD-DVD within the next year or so will have English subs as well.

The R3K releases of DYRL and MacZero are particularly cheap. I ordered them a little while ago. DYRL MacZero I've used this e-store a number of times before and they're very reliable. I normally receive their parcels within 2 weeks using the cheapest shipping option (I live in NZ). They're located in Seoul.

I'd still choose Misa. She might be the kind of broad that I'd have no hesitation in pushing down a flight of stairs, but Minmei's god awful Jpop songs are an absolute deal breaker. KYYYOOOON KYYYOOOON, SHHHAAAA PAAAIIII LOOONNNNNN, ARGH.

Thanks. AFAIK HG's Macross is on 35mm film right? Celluloid film has a higher resolution than HD so in theory anything on 35mm or better should be able to benefit from HD. SD transfers (eg DVD) downscaled from an HD source also look benefit. Eg potentially more detail is captured in the transfer.

Has the legal entanglements of the franchise affected the production of the Transformers Jetfire action figure in any way? 3. I noticed a lot of enviromentalist concerns in Macross Zero, is this a recurring theme in other Kawamori works? 4. What was general reception of Macross Zero? 5. How are the R1 Macross Plus DVDs in the video transfer quality department? I.e. Are they interlaced? Do they suffer from compress artifacts? etc. 6. I apologise for this comment, I hadn't realised that they would've spent several thousand on remastering the show and such practices would've been justified to recoup their investment. Anyway, did Animeigo remaster the show into High Definition?

Does the Animeigo set come on DVD-5s (single-layer discs) or DVD-9s (dual-layer discs)? Hi, A few days ago I registered for an account using the handle "EvaUnit02" with my Mail.com address, but never received a verification email. I tried getting verification resent several times, but still it never showed up in my mailbox. Anyway, my Gmail.com address worked and thus I'm using this account. I've since realised, that in the past, other boards using the Invision Power Board software haven't liked my Mail.com address either (I only now realised this ). If possible could the "EvaUnit02" account please be deleted and my current handle, "EvaUnit02NZ" be renamed to "EvaUnit02"? Thanks in advance.
