  1. God damn the Blazer looks great. GLAD this one comes with a stand. I can do without the gear...I don't like the way they look and the fact that they don't attach..meh. Graham, what is the swappable head laser/back part of the head for? Is that one for using ABS instead of PVC head lasers? I hope that swapping that piece out is not necessary for transformation. The less parts to keep track of, the better. I don't doubt it, in fact I think it's inevitable. Tooling something the size of the Fire Valkyrie(which is one of the bigger valks) in light of the worsening economy in Japan and rising cost of labor in China is a costly endeavor for Yamato. So I think they are going to use every opportunity to recoup the money invested in tooling the molds. I think we'll see the Blazer, F model, and VF-19P next year, maybe the whale blood stained VF-19P as a Yamato webshop/Summer Wonderfest 2011 shared exclusive. Just having a new faceplate and the 2 shoulder bits for the 19P would probably be close enough. I EAGERLY anticipate a 1/60 Blazer Valkyrie. Of all the S model valks, it seems to have been overlooked the most.
  2. Wait..can he actually fit inside the car?
  3. Ah I see.
  4. There is a 21 proto, it was shown in a magazine. I too, hope for a 19 that is perfect variable, but what gets me excited is the thought of a VF-11! Should be ridiculously easy to make.
  5. Actually I think they went up...the solicited prices are 19,740 yen. Wasn't the original MSRP 18,880 yen?
  6. I hope we see a VF HI METAL VF-25. Perfect variable, unique chest sculpts for each. Seeing what Bandai has done with the Fire Valky and VF-1 in the VF HI METAL line, the VF-25 should be a breeze.
  7. Can you post pics of it showing it in dynamic poses, like showing the limits of its articulation?
  8. Can the right arm swivel outwards at all? Maybe on a hinge used for transformation? How is articulation overall? Does the elbow always straighten when the arm is moved upwards, or can you bend it even when the arm is upwards?
  9. What do you think of the figure? I haven't..it isn't a widespread release just yet. Hope I can find him eventually...him and Mudflap.
  10. The data on that video is inaccurate, that fighter is clearly a MIG-28 doing a negative 4G pushover.
  11. Judging by the head design and the fact that the Blazer is pretty much perfect variable, I have a feeling the YF-19 HI METAL will be perfect variable too. I eagerly look forward to that, the 21, and hopefully a VF-11 with chunky battroid like the anime, the armor from 7, AND big ass tail fins like drawn on one of the Macross Chronicles covers.
  12. It's been hinted at/mentioned at Tamashii's site, around the same time they were 1st time they alluded to the Blazer Valkyrie. They also have a YF-21 in the works which has been shown in Japanese magazines(resin proto). I think we will see the 19 either by winter or early next year, maybe the 21 in fall.
  13. Wait, where did you get yours?
  14. VF-18S What do you think of the Double Nuts?
  15. To be honest the only things I don't like about the V2 are the aforementioned shoulder issues, and the small fin scratching into the vertical stabilizer when using the FAST packs. I'm sure the amount of small parts tooled up for this release contributed to the price. Compared to the 1/100 Toynami's there's probably almost double the amount of parts if not more.
  16. Designed within the budget limitations of the mass market movie line. It's not a true Masterpiece. The same guy, if it's the same one I am thinking of, designed Armada deluxe bendy Prime but he is nothing like Binalternasterpiece quality; he's a mass market toy just like Movie Masterpiece Starscream but in a not as nifty box. Not to say that Leader screamer is a bad toy at all, it isn't; it's the best of the 3 F-22 moviescream molds released so far, but not a Masterpiece-level Transformer. I wouldn't expect the most realistic F-22 mode but at least a lack of a huge underside and better ways to hide robot mode parts.
  17. TakaraTomy is co-owner with Hasbro, so yes, no licensing fee, though I wonder if Boeing had to be paid for the use of the F-15 design. Got to add, damn the VF-1J MP looks great in those above photos.
  18. I think he knew that, but it would be cool for the SUPER set to come with both pilots so you wouldn't have to buy the solo release just for the Roy pilot figure. Little as it is, the Roy pilot figure is a draw to the solo set.
  19. That's the exact same thing I was intrigued by too. I think they can even make the VF-0 perfect variable(in the VF HI METAL line). That and the VF-25.
  20. They did, but Renato's gunpods are mounted in different areas.
  21. Hey how did you get the gun pods to stay on?! That looks cool. I plan on getting a 21/22 eventually. Maybe 1 of each. Always liked the design...it's like a QRau mated to a Valky.
  22. It is funny but the review is from December 2009.
  23. Looks great Vifam! I think that maybe the VF HI METAL may actually be the more accurate one, as the ARII/Imai/Bandai kits were tooled in the 80's and may have used older reference material. Then again, who knows. Wonder if the Wave kit is the same size? Also the Toynami 1/100 looks pretty close in size, but a tad smaller; Toynami had to do theirs without the references available to Bandai, like Kawamori's assistance, that kind of thing.
  24. I have: TF1 70's Camaro Bumblebee TF1 Concept Camaro Bumblebee TF1 Stealth Bumblebee HFTD Bumblebee(newest one) The new one is by far the best. I was amazed at the fact that the only reused parts are the lower legs. Very cool figure. 2nd only to Human Alliance Bee. BUY IT MAN! Got new Ironhide too..SMALL. Almost like a bigger scout.
