I've got season one in HiDef. The improved detail is Shaweeeeeet! There is a shot when the Nuggets are attempting thier first landing, the flight pod cover plate on the main hull is ghosted in. It's transparent. It was neat to catch that error on the HiDef avi. That and when the water tank explodes you can see the flight pods are removed from the ship. As well as the armor plates on the bow.

The first Ghost in the Shell movie was great. The CG sucked. It lacked any finnesse at all. Even my animator friend couldn't stand it. The faces were empty and lifeless. Hanna Barberra did better characterizations than that. Both our wives though it looked like a video game. We kept talking about how the film is the longest cut scene in history. Yes I am serious. Give me the Manga any day over this horrible movie.

I couldn't stand watching the animation. I had to turn the thing off at the street fight with the Bubblegum Crisis drones. The ones with the whips. The floating characters made me queezy. I fell for the hype and bought the movie. I felt ripped off.

I think Six has given him too much dead-on information to not be real at this point. The only question in my mind is if she is a chip in his head or he is a Cylon and this is how they communincate. I think it's the chip. Maybe.

I see why the Centurions have spidery fingers. I'm surprised I hadn't thought of that before. That was a grizzly episode. I think the Cylons are seducing Baltar because they need his intelect to work out some problems for them.

The top wing ROCKS! Great job so far. I like the renderings of the wing a lot. What are you rendering with? I have been looking to simulate the look of those wing shots and I just haven't gottent here yet. The best results I got yet were with Maxwell but I just havent taken the time lately to get it to look better.

Great catch! The mew boarding craft looks alot like Nogano's tanks from Five Star Stories. I always loved those things. Anyhoo; Here is that buildup finnished. It's great to actually finnish something for a change. I printed out the name plates on white decal paper with a color field approximating the color of the model. I Then went back with paint and blended them in a little better. I am going to see about the dry transfers I like. I think they might be difficult for this model. I've got the emulator bundle running some old Master system games an a couple of the SNES Star Wars games. I downloaded about 20GB of system roms in the last week.

I wasn't bothered at all. On the contrary. I am quite flattered that people are still interested in them.

If I were to do the Oberth stand I would need to re-design the post to fit that kit. I also wonder if the base is too small though.

I was offering to cut a new nameplate and send the master to Honneamise. Not in so many words of course. That is a whole lot less effort than redoing the LancerII project. Besides I have people banging at my door for my impending Galactica kit. I HAVE to move on. Also I said the Lancer was retired. It needs to stay that way. Otherwise I would be a liar.

That is a bell jar vacuum system. Not necasarry for our type of stuff. You could spend that on a lot of tools and better options for degassing.

The one I got works fine. I've been using it with one of those 4 gallon compressors from Costco. You need to set up some lever valves to get full use of it though. But it can be made to work great. It's better than doing nothing.

You're looking for either a venturi pump or a refrigerator pump. The venturi style gizmo can be had at Harbour Frieght for about $14. But you need a good compressor to use it. http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/Disp...itemnumber=3952

Actually what you need to do is put your freshly mixed rubber into a vaccuum chamber to evacuate the bubbles out before you pour the mold. My experiment with pressurizing mold rubber was a miserable failure. Pressure really is usefull in casting the resin parts only. In my opinion. The current base has a raised "Kite" emblem and name plate. I can redo the nameplate to read Oberth yadda yadda.
