  1. Blocked for my Country, for some reason

I see... I'm in Japan at the moment, it's a talk show interviewing people involved with merchandise. I'll see if I can access this back home.

  2. I'll buy 3 Defenders, 2 Nousjadel-Gers, 3 Spartans, 2 Q-Raus, and 3 Tomahawks. Also 3 Phalanxs and 1 of each of everything else on the list and not on the list.

I wish more people are like you. Support Macross in general! And maybe Bandai will reissue the 1/55 VF-1S Hikaru Strike Valkyrie.

  3. This is just in Tokyo. I find quite a few more in Chiba just 30 min away on the sobu-line. (I was visiting hobby shops like hell to track down older OOP hasegawa limited VF-1's..i even scored a Max / Milia VF-1 twin-set circa 2003 at retail :D)

Japanese Macross fans just have different collecting habits I guess. They don't have the disposable income nor space to go apesh*t like many of us do here on Macrossworld

Hey Duymon, where and which hobby shops in Chiba? I only go to Yodobashi Camera and the Yellow Submarine on the upper floor whenever I visit Chiba (Chiba JR Station). Are there anymore in Chiba? Thanks.

  4. And here is the main attraction, where you can either have someone take a picture of you in the 1/1 VF-1 cockpit, or pay 1,500 yen for a professional photograph taken, photoshoped to whichever model you want.

I chose "to be in" the VF-1S DYRL Hikaru back when Macross the Museum was in Tokyo last year. The new things that were not in the previous would be the Delta stuff. Were the Minmay, Sheryl and Ranka manequins there at Nagoya?

  5. I would agree with that. I got them for the collectability factor, but I suppose they could have used better images. If anything, I probably should have gone for the Tsutaya exclusive editions, which come with art postcards. Those would have been a pain in the neck to track down for me, though. I'd rather order them online.

Technically they are the same fixed list price, though. It's just that Amazon is selling the regular edition cheaper than the list price, while their exclusive version has not been reduced.

I have both the Animate and Tsutaya "art cards". I prefer the Animate one which recreates the Minmay and Hikaru floating with the Misa in the red background in the "New Hal Macross the First style" of art. You cam use this as an alternate cover sleeve for the Bluray.

  6. one of the Glaug's arm guns is up side down!

Sharp eye! Even the Zentraedi sign on that side is upsidedown as already pointed out previously.

  7. The best Tsutaya that I know is in Daikanyama, between Ebisu and Shibuya. It is called Tsutaya Shoten and it is super classy, has a ton of books and music, even a lounge with sofas and a wine bar. They often do author talk and autograph signing events (I first met Yuji Nunokawa there, the head of Studio Pierrot), so I would guess you should be able to find it there.

Thanks, I was able to get the last one at the branch in Shibuya right about the same day as your reply.

  8. Seems no one has written about this news yet...

At Anime Japan, a Macross stage event will be held.

The title is "MACROSS DELTA broadcast coming soon! MACROSS 'Zentoramori' Talk Show Powered by d AnimeStore."

The main agenda of it is, of course, about Macross Delta, but some other VAs will talk about their own roll in the other series.

The attendees are Shou Hayami,Eri Takeda, Tomo Sakurai, Megumi Nakajima, Minori Suzuki and the others. And Mr. Kawamori will also get on the stage simultaneously.

IMPO, I have thought Nakajima-san didn't take a hiatus but retire, but what I have been guessing seems to be wrong. Hmm.

The date is the 1st day of the event, March 26. From 13:35 to 14:15. At The Red Stage of the venue, the 4th Hall of Tokyo Big Sight.

Refer to the details on the link below. Don't worry, it's written in English.

Hello antibiotictab, how do I get a reservation? And what is "stage-viewing lottery"?

  9. There are three store-exclusive variants. Check out the bottom of this page.

The content of the discs is the same, but there are some bonus inserts and/or packaging extras.

The Animate version comes with an illustration card. The Amazon version comes with a bonus slipcase. The Tsutaya version comes with bromides (illustrations printed on photo stock paper).

Thanks for clarifying that up. I will try to hunt all 3 versions down as I will be in Osaka hopefully on the 7th and 11th of February. Anyone up for Fire BomBAR?
