  1. Anybody else watched "The Plan"?

The Cylon Plan is... What plan?

Mostly its about Cavil and his micro-managing of the Skinjobs.

Doral/Five got me thinking of the video "We were Centurions".

The bulk of the Colonial fleet on Caprica were Valkyrie battlestar types.

Plus the Basestars show something they didn't do in the series. They can rotate and become arrows for atmospheric entry.

As for the Colony it was shown at the beginning with the Cylon fleet. No classic basestars I'm sorry to say.

It was nice to see the Pegasus again. :)

  2. I seriously don't believe there will be any movies. I think BSG will end at the end of S4. I'm not sure you could drag out the "finding a home bit" into movies as well. While it's hardly definitive, almost every cast member interviewed has spoken about the end of S4 with such finality that I don't think a movie is likely. That capped with the fact that we'll probably lose Laura and I wouldn't put it past them to kill Adama either, doesn't lend itself to a movie setting.

We've also got 6 episodes left, a lot of people can die, and the more that do would seem to provide less and less of a reason for a movie. From what I've read the last 1-2 eps are planned to be at least 90 minutes, possibly 2 hours a pop, that's probably the closest thing we'll get to films for BSG. In my opinion, the show doesn't lend itself well to movies, there are too many entwining plot threads. The fanbase is large, but I don't think it's large enough to justify the cost of a full blown film while also requiring movie goers to be current on the plot.

There is still Battlestar Galactica: The Plan which will be released later this year.

  3. ;) And if you're really adventureous, you will may dress up and do some actual theatrical dueling for the public. These are friends and members of mine for a Star Wars costume club entertaining crowds at the California State Fair 2005.

  4. Yeah I think so. Can't wait for the new season. It's one of the few shows that I don't mind waiting for since I know the wait is worth it. I hope they use more of the other super heros beside the main Justice League leadership. They made great use of Green Arrow, Supergirl, and The Question this season I believe. They used them the most I think and one other but not sure.

I really hope they at least have Nightwing show up or bring Doomsday back. Would be cool if they ran through the Light and Death of Superman storyline. They already have Steel and Supergirl in the show.

I agree, that did make the Batman Beyond storylne just a bit creepier. Still now that I think about it, the episode was pretty well done. Nothing really in your fact action wise but loved the character interaction.

Next season in part, will involve a serious Legion of Doom. In other words, if a large group of heroes can unite to try to do good, why can't the villians follow a similar pattern to do evil.

  5. Two friends of mine participated in a media event put on by entertainment store Stage Nine in Old Sacramento, California. Stage Nine had Kevin Conroy, the well-known Batman Animated voice actor, and a tour suit for Batman Begins. Along with posing pictures with children and adults, both friends helped to judge a children's costume contest. Here are a few images until I have a chance to post more.

My friend, dressed as a Jim Lee Hush style caped crusader, and his wife, the current style Catwoman, pose with a City of Sacramento police officer who handles one of their older show cars.

After the event, the Warner Bros' costumer wanted to grab some pictures of himself on the riverboat, the Spirit of Sacramento, with the Sacramento River bridge behind him.

  6. So, I guess the real question is: What do you do to top these costumes on Halloween?

We wear these outfits at media and service events. So for us, it's like folks in service branches who see each other in their uniforms all the time. Which is funny since police officers and fire fighters like to take pictures with us. :)

For Halloween, all of us usually come up with something else either original or from another subject. Like at a Halloween party last year, I dressed up as a Crazy 88. However, a bunch of us went in our armor costumes to a big Halloween party put on by a local radio. We were quite popular with guys and gals.

  7. So aside from the costuming, I am sure you must all wonder how is this prop event is related? Well aside from organizing our appearance in costume, Darren planned the construction of a star destroyer set that hangs above the main concession stand in the lobby of the Modesto Brenden Theater. Here are some samples images of what went into the construction.
