WOW.

So um... if you ever feel like unloading that sonico, do keep me in mind.

-
Is it me, or does the gun look totally screwy in that painting?
yeah, at the angle it's being held, it either can't actually be in it's hand, or the stock is meshing through it's arm.
that said, the visible green psyco-frame is pretty awesome, I'm digging this kit even more now. Of course, now we're going to need an MG "Ver. Ka" Sazabi to go with this.

-
I got the same pre-order bonus but have yet to see it. Is it only available for the "She-Spartan"?
no, it's there for both. did you enter the code from your receipt? if you did and then downloaded the skin
:edit:
btw, had a great time last evening, thanks for getting me through some legendary missions.
and going back to a point I made earlier; I just noticed that the BR is in fact still 3 round burst and not semi-auto like I thought. I also just noticed that the light rifle is both semi-auto AND 3 round burst depending on whether you're hip firing or using the scope. Of course both have such ridiculously high rates of fire and because the light rifle consumes the same amount of ammo either way, it feels exactly the same if they where semi-auto all the time.

something kind of annoying I just noticed while customizing my armor: The Legs armor that came with my gamestop preorder are glitched on the female body type such that they they show the default color layout rather than the forest camo.

I've still yet to see any Indication even that MP-10 has made it to my local TRU's. The Hayward one has gotten quite a few thundercrakers though. I still love my MP Thundercracker but I'm ridiculously excited for MP Soundwave, he's definitely going to be worth the import price IMO.
Personally though I'm kind of glad I haven't seen MP-10 in person, It's keeping me from spending a hundred dollars I shouldn't spend right now.
Personally though I'd rather just see some deluxes/voyagers I actually want. I feel really bad because I found Hotspot and Dreadwing at TRU while they where having a sale, but I just wasn't in the mood to actually spend money on toys at the time. Now it's 2 weeks later, I'd be ready and willing to pick up either and they're all gon. -
HAHA, well done. I support peer ridicule. It is what made kids tougher in the past, and the lack of peer ridicule is why kids are worthless and weak today.
It also perpetuates racism, sexism and homophobia; and leaves victims at higher risk of suicide and violent outbursts for the rest of their lives. Clearly that's building better functional members of society.

I feel like you need to move each guy over one socket counter clockwise to get a proper G2 Bruticus.

I gotta say, this game has some amazing cutscenes. I just watched spartan ops episode 1, it's pretty amazing.
BTW, where do I go to customize my character? I've yet to figure that out.
NVM, figured it out.
also, the mantis in king of the hill is ridiculously overpowered.

Perhaps it's better to say so many guns mimic the function of each other that it can be difficult to tell them apart or to even develop any preference for one over another.
Definitely this. I found I was using semi-auto rifles more than 50% of the time, whether it be the BR, the Covenant Carbine or the Light Rifle. and they all felt almost identical save for a slight buff to the carbine against elites and a slight buff to the Light RIfle against Knights. The only gun I could say I actively avoided was the boltshot pistol.

Debacle, eh? I've never really been into the Diablo side of things. What was wrong with the game?
the fact that even when playing single player you had to be connected to blizzards servers all the time, which where constantly down during the initial launch period do to high traffic.

random thought: at least in the campaign, I find the weapon set of this game kind of odd. For one, I really miss brute weapons. I know the brute shot has a sort of equivalent with one of the new covenant weapons, but that big old launcher was fun, and it's not like the haven't got semi-redundant weapons in other cases anyways. I also miss things like the revolver shotgun and the SMG's. Admittedly they're both kind of useless without dual wielding, but that's another thing I kind of miss.
I also don't understand why they made the BR semi-auto AND included the DMR, so now you've got 4 different semi-auto guns with high cap mags and low power scopes (5 if you count the magnum).
Also, between the lack of dual-wield and the flood not showing up at all in campaign, a lot of the human weapons feel really pointless. The shotgun is kind of worthless now and the magnum is completely redundant with how readily available the BR is.
I'm not saying I don't think the game has been awesome, but gun-play variety was not one of it's strong points. Fortunately the actual story was epic enough to completely make up for that.

Me personally, I've hit a point of complete CoD fatigue. I've owned and played EVERY CoD game all the way back to Cod 1 on the PC and I've bought every installment since 4 on launch day. I'm just tired of the same game over and over and over for 9 years now. Admittedly, Black ops II looks interesting, and Black ops was probably the best post-CoD4 installment so far, but it's still not enough to make me jump on it. Halo 4 feels fresh and fun for me so I'll probably be sticking to that.
I have a feeling that maybe come winter break when I've got a little more free time I may pick up black ops II and give it a go, but I'm not sure.

It's funny how all FPS's have the same fundementals and mechanics and still manage to be so damn different from each other. I never went negative in COD4 once I got the hang of it but I would rarely go positive in Halo 3.
It's funny though, I've been in a similar situation of doing better (i.e. higher scores, better K-D ratio etc.) in CoD games vs Halo, but I find Halo MP to be more of a fun experience.
Anyways, I'd love to jump on and play with you guys but I'm way to busy right now. the 10 hours over 2 nights I spent clearing the campaign are about all I can devote to games for a while (school projects are kicking my ass and I've got to get crap done.

That cannon is the bane of my existence when I'm fighting the Knights. Especially on Episode 1 Chapter 4 of Spartan Ops. I've even spawned into a new death several times because of those Knights.
On a side note, Achievements can be earned on the Easy difficulty unlike all the other Halo's.
I've just been playing on normal because I'm not good enough for solo legendary.
and on the subject of spawning into death. I had this amazing thing happen last night on I think it was level 7
on the research station where you're defending the Composer in a mantis.
I was backing out of a fight trying to get my shields to regenerate and I accidently walked off the edge of the map right as the game check-pointed, so every time I respawned, I was already over the edge of the map and was unavoidably falling into oblivion over and over.

so, chapter 5...
I'm Jesus now?
:edit:
also, Jesus Christ the incinerator cannon is ridiculous.
:edit: :edit:
and HOLY F*CKING SH*T, WHY THE HELL DID I JUST DO THAT!?! I'M COMPLETELY INSANE!!!

maybe this is old new from reach but I when I went in to change up my control set up I got a kick out of that fact that the button layout that matches CoD is called Fishstick.

-
This makes me really want to play some multiplayer.

I now understand how the hell maketoys PCC figure is supposed to be the fallen. I now also kind of want one:

I got an awesome package today, my Prime First edition reissue's from BBTS arrived. including my arms micron deluxe Megatron and the GDO Cliffjumper I picked up last week, I've now got every FE mold except bumblebee and deluxe two-pack prime.
all and all, I'm impressed. I've actually liked all the PRID toys I've picked up so far, but these definitely feel more substantial and have far more complex transformations. retrospectively, I don't think any of these where worth the ridiculous scalper prices they where going for earlier this year; they're good toys but not $50+ for a deluxe good at all.
Oddly enough, Now that I've got FE bulkhead, I really want to grab a powerizer bulkhead to go with it. I've got a I've got prid versions of every other FE character and I find it fun to be able to compare both version, see how the engineering is different and just have alternate versions of all the characters.

PvP? Manic. It's closer to Reach than Halo 3 (though I hadn't play 3). Otherwise.. pew pew pew. If you're not really hot, be mentally prepared to die. A lot.
Large scale Slayer (8 a side) is really fun to die a lot throughout the game though. I prefer those to the smaller Slayer matches.
TBH, I gave up completely on slayer/team slayer after the first week of playing Halo 3. Team objective is a lot more fun IMO. Although my favorite playlists where Grifball, oddball, team melee and team SWAT.
-
I just re-watched both burton films for the first time in several years last week. I've got to say that Batman Returns is by far my favorite batman film of all time. The whole film is just over-the-top crazy, and it's got Christopher Walken. Also, Michelle Pfeiffer is the best catwoman ever.

So it looks like Spartan OP is just a new version of Fire Fight with unlimited lives and your score is based off of technique and number of deaths you've had on yourself. I played the first mission and scored a lot of medals bringing me up to nearly a lvl 4 and died 5 times.
On a down side, you need almost 4 gigs of HDD space to get all the multiplayer crap installed on your Xbox. That drove me nuts as I had to either move and or delete a vast number of stuff I've downloaded and I do not have a large hard drive like the newer xboxs. That goes to show you I need to get a new one soon if these games continue to go this route.
I've got the same xbox I've had since 2007, have never deleted a thing off the HDD and still have 85+gigs of free space. BTW, I totally skipped halo reach, so the last time I actually played halo MP was during 3. how does 4 compare to that?
-
I picked up a copy today but I've been too busy with school to actually play it and won't be able to crack it open till at least Friday, if that. Also kind of annoyed because the only reason I bothered to pick it up early was because I ordered the strategy guide to go with it because it's all hard bound and full of concept art, and they didn't actually have any so now I've got to go make a second trip latter this week to pick that up.

All in all, not enough of a new product to warrant my money.

there's no such thing as excessive IMO...
