I missed the last Bay Area meetup; hopefully I can make this one. The 22nd is free for me (provided work doesn't call) and I can probably make it anywhere from San Francisco down to San Jose.

Anybody know how much Over-Drive generally charges to ship one of these 1/60's without the armor parts to California?

I just pre-ordered the VF-1D from overdrive which is the same price (w/o armor), and shipping to Cali came out to $33.40

I think that's for EMS as its similar to HLJ, but overall its cheaper b/c overdrive's list prices are less than HLJ's prices.

I've been playing a gray market unit for the last couple of weeks. Its hard getting used to the timing of the animations. Its still not as fast as 2D, but better than some other 3D fighters. I think the game is still unbalanced and needs some tweaking.

I just opened my brand new VF-1S Roy from HLJ. The very first time I rotated the shoulders, before I even lifted the hinge over the stop, I noticed that one of my hinges has the same crack that shown in mcsjaw's pics! Completely new, out of the box - this is pretty annoying. Time and time again Yamato! I'm gonna go email HLJ now.

Thanks for the heads up. I also want the FP version but I'm not sure thats going to be released. I'll keep an eye on the BBTS one.

Unless I am really unlucky, HLJ's current stuff is old stock. I just got a crooked gunpod version from them weeks ago, as well as loose shoulders and stressed 'neck' piece on the fighter than everybody complained about. For once, I suggest not to get the YF-19 from HLJ, even though I am their frequent customer.

Does anyone know if these are reissues with the fixes or old stock?

Yamato will be re-issuing it again in coming months. It should be the 3rd single reissue if I remember correctly.
