i think i understand the anger towards HG though, i mean i would be slightly pissed if they took lets say Zeta Gundam, and Macross 7, mashed em together and basically made a whole new series. In other words it would be as painful as watching Double Zeta Gundam all over again.

I stopped watching robotech after the macross saga, the rest really didnt draw me in.

honestly optimus prime has had so many little changes that i doubt the audience would really mind it. Though i did kinda like the original movie, especially the slightly crazy guys who talked like infomercials and drove what im guessin is a Screw from 1942.

macross might be in a very interesting position right now, on one hand you have it ending with macross 7. The jumping boards from this is actually pretty cool for instance you can make a serious with a battle fleet and the M7 fleet going after the other "lost" fleets. To prevent other exploitation of the UN's citizens, i can see it going an epic scale almost close to that of SW1. or course though i do have a tendency to just talk on. p.s. hey guys =P
