  1. I don't think gamepro is around anymore, no. As for EGM, I get it for free because of of Game Crazy. (Somehow when I go in there to trade games, I end up with more credit plus a magazine subscription if I opt for another year's renewal) This last issue has just really pissed me off though. There's an editor named seanbaby who criticizes all people in the US military as being stupid if they joined post 9/11. The last time he was this much of a douche bag was when he was bagging on religion. I wrote the editor an email about that... and got a lame pre-scripted reply.

As for Play magazine, I picked up a copy at the grocery store once and loved it. It's really beautifully done, and I like how they include anime and manga while avoiding acting snooty or precocious. I purchased a year of that; I need something to read when I'm sittin' on the toilet. I don't have the time or ambition to visit game sites for information. Unfortunately I'm one of those people who get my game info from the Game Crazy mags I have stationed in the bathroom. Oh yeah, and Macrossworld. ;)

  2. Wow reading this thread brought back so many memories of when I used to collect GI Joe comics as a kid. I don't know about any of the stuff you guys are explaining, but I'd give anything to have my Snake-Eyes-Trilogy back. I do have quite a time purchasing old 3/4 Joes for my son on ebay; sometimes I get the coolest deals. Also, the Sigma 6 toys are awesome! They don't make anything other than Snake Eyes for the most part though... I've had to buy extra figures to customize personally for more variety. I even made my kiddO' Tomax and Xamot.

If this movie is as cool as Transformers then I'll be more than satisfied.

  3. Well. I've finallly gotten to experience "gaming online with a console." I tried playing Resistance FOM and got my butt handed to me 20 times in 10 seconds. That had zErO fun in it. Rainbow Six Vegas is cool, but literally everyone talking on there with a microphone cusses up a storm to the point where it's annoying. I mute them, but then I can't hear what some dickheads are saying to me, thus I don't follow their directions, and I get kicked off servers. I got kicked off a server because the guy who owned it wanted to be the person to capture a suit case (thus winning the battle) and I didn't heed him. And I'm not kidding when I say this - some people must spend half of their life sitting at their PS3 playing Rainbow Six online, judging from the skill and "extras" accumulated by them.

  4. Still need to pick up Ninja Gaiden Sigma and R6: Vegas. I'll pick up NGS eventually, still debating R6:V. I've already finished R6 on my friends XBox360. Is it really worth plunking down money for a few extra stages?

I don't know; I never played it on the 360. But it sure is fun as hell so far.

  5. Meh, I love all those aspects about metal gear, and at the same time, splinter cell bores me to tears :)

I'm with you 200% there, Keith. Anyone who didn't play all the way through MGS3 is missing out. I didn't buy a Ps3 just to see how true-to-real-life everytyhing will be. I sort of like imagination in games. I hope to Gawd that Final Fantasy 13 won't be about life in New York City, rude Taxi drivers, curb-side vendors and muggings. Maybe if they make the game pre-Giulliani era then the avoiding muggings theme would be more realistic, but still... I don't think all games should be an experiment in being real. As much as I love Motorstorm's beautiful visuals it would kind of mess up the game if I had to start a race all over from the get-go everytime I crashed.

  6. wait wait...I received my FP and foldildo about week ago but haven't had the time to open it, are you telling me that this things costs 60+ bucks and doesn't come with batteries!??? are you freaking kidding me?! I bought a freaking cow flashlight for 10 bucks that makes 'mooooo' whenever I turn it on and that sh!t came with 4 AA batteries

and a freaking 60+ addon for a 160+ toy can't come with 3 stupid batteries!?!?

    damn!!!!!!!

    *laughing*

That was great! I gotta' wipe the smile off my face. My son's asking me why I'm smiling for. Ah, priceless.

  7. I saw a custom gakken online once, of the big red robot. (Rook Bartley in Robotech, don't know what it is otherwise) It was one of the big gakken toys, and it was holy f--king sh-t gorgeous. They used a bunch of gundam kit parts I believe to fix it up, and a looooooot of skill as well. I wonder if I have those pics saved on my computer still... custom paint job as well. Iwas like Yamato made a 1/48 scale gakken! Okay anyway, you ought to customize yours. Oh, and damned nice collection.

  8. aaajin, graham said that those were supposed to the 25th anniversary valks, but because they were universally reviled and despised, they became one-offs.

I added the reviled and despised bit. but they were unpopular.

I personally think they look rather cool, although I wouldn't buy one. I would if I had the extra dough though.

By the way, does anybody know how long the batteries will last once you turn on the foldbooster and leave it running?

  9. Done... Credit goes to eugimon for the idea (in which I stole)

Mods will be posted in the respected thread: http://macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?show...0&start=120

    ***EDIT***

I apologize for all the excess stuff that ended up in the shots. My space is quite limited and my room is completely cluttered.

Dude, psycho, NICE work... even though you stole Eug's idea! But man, that's really cool. Someday I may have to do that myself! *claps hands* Great job, great job!

  10. Man... I remember when the very 1st Hikaru 1S was released as a comic-con exclusive. Like a week after that there were pictures on the net of Toynami displaying FP'd 1/100's at some show. At the time THE set price for a Fast pack set was 15 dollars. It's been like uhm... a year now? I think? Something like that. They sure are taking their time...

  11. Also thoughts on the intercooler? Yay or nay? Would I be better off with just a small fan? My PS3 is in a entertainment center.

Gawd, and here I bought a ps3 at full price literally 3 days before they dropped the price and threw in all the extras. Oh well. C'est la vie.

I bought a dual-fan from Intec that attaches to the front of the ps3, just to be safe. That system has a loooot of really hot air blowin' out the sides, even though the machine itself stays reasonably cool. The downside of the fan, is that it turns a normally quiet system into a louder-quiet system. And who knows if it'll help? I had a cooling fan hooked up to my 360 almost from day one and it still bottomed out.

Just for the f' of it, I'll throw in a list of games I own now: Rainbow Six Vegas, Resistance FOM, Virtua Fighter 5, Motor Storm, Marvel Super Heroes, and Ninja Gaiden Sigma. Motor storm, Resistance, and Virtua are just gorgeous. I need to pop in that Marvel game though, I haven't played it yet.
