With all the colonies and factories to defend in such a profoundly hostile galaxy, shouldn't the NUNS be churning out automated weapons systems like those defense satellites and Ghost fighters? Guld certainly had his hands full with just one Ghost.

Are Eden's defenses supposed to be comparable to Earth's? I don't recall seeing a big fleet or defense satellites around it in Macross Plus, but I'd think that NUN would want to defend any major colony world that hasn't already been turned into a wasteland by a massive orbital bombardment.

Is Eden generally considered the primary colony of the NUN or are there other big ones founded around the same time?

Given the known industrial capacity of the Protoculture, would it be outside the realm of possibility that they were also able to construct ecumenpolises or Dyson spheres?

Doesn't the NUN have something like twenty factory satellites? Wouldn't it be easier to have them churn out the Zentradi ships and mecha that they're already tooled for?

Wouldn't it make more sense to send out recon fleets of allied Zentradi that are less likely to attract hostile attention from half of the galaxy's two huge warring factions?

Are the colonization fleets just aimlessly exploring the galaxy in search of habitable planets? I'd think the Zentradi would have had lots of time to stumble across them over half a million years.

Oh, I accept it. But I thought it was also generally assumed that there are no space vampires among the SA, so humanity may have nothing they actually want. If that's true, they may not be hostile unless attacked.

Aren't the SA assumed to be heterogeneous (albeit "brainwashed") with male and female Zentradi and Protoculture? Would the sight of a kiss or hearing music have any effect on such people?
