I think being able to nab 2 DX VF-1Js on HLJ across 2 accounts mid-summer last year (people must have cancelled their PO's and checking a few times a day for availability paid off) was some of the greatest fortune I've experienced across my lifetime of collecting various stuff. I think I have to go back to my Star Wars POTF2 days t match that boon.

Quick question: Is there any particular reason the Arad 31 seems to fetch such a premium, relative to Messer/Mirage? I realize Messer has had a couple of releases, but are there other reasons?

Yeah, believe me, I sometimes think about that. The recent Macross shopping spree I have been on over the last 6 weeks has been financed by sales of a lot of my Transformers/3P collection. It's ended up pretty much paying for everything, thankfully. -

Thanks man! (I haven't even seen any of the new SW movies...no interest). I am not an extensive 1/6 collector, though I have always ogled the Hot Toys offerings. I have the Obi-Wan and Anakin from ROTS, and this Luke. The only others I am resolved to get (if released) are Luke Bespin (revealed at Comic Con), and Luke Hoth. -

Haul from the last couple of weeks. 4th PF 0S (for Gerwalk display - thanks for planting the seed in my head/wallet @Slave IV ! ) -
With this particular seller, i just bought at precisely the wrong time. He was an "ok'd" seller on the tfw2005 boards, and didn't drop prices/start accumulating negative feedback until the days AFTER I purchased. I already submitted a case with PayPal, and will submit it with ebay once the package "arrives". But yeah, a lot of wasted time and energy when it would have been better to just avoid altogether.

I suppose I'd pick up a super ostrich if they put one out there. I've never shared the same passion for the SO or Elintseeker that many have. I'd prefer the Hikaru 1J (GBP or no!), a brownie of any variety and/or a 1D.

Don't tempt me! BTW, ended up swapping the armor to the other 0S in battroid, and the chest piece clicked right into place. Odd.

The decals do make it pop. I can't seem to get the chest armor to "click in" securely - It's just sort of hanging from the top clips. At any rate, it's a nice piece of eye candy. Here is the trifecta shot:

Beware on this guy. It may be an account that has "gone rogue". I just purchased this same piece/auction on Thursday - and it was listed at around $130-135. By Saturday that same auction was going for around $32! Most items in his store were marked down 75%. Today it had shot back up to $85. He also has 5 negative reviews in the past month. I did receive my tracking number (speedpak, sadly), but I have the feeling that I will receive a box of empty sardine cans.

It may be enough to prompt me to rifle through my plastic tote full of old DVDs and watch it again - just to get an idea of what was on there and what wasn't. From that screen cap it doesn't look like the "01" is on the right pec (or the red markings on the top/bottom border of the chest panels).

Finally freed this armor from its box, yesterday. I'm very impressed! Though it is a tight fit for one detolf shelf, I managed to get my three PF VF-0Ss (fighter, battroid, and now armored battroid) to set up shop on one. In regards to the decals...so far I have just applied the triangular ones on the shoulder panels. I think adding some of the other decals, it would definitely sexy things up, but from this art, it doesn't seem like it had much else adorning it in Macross Zero (although its been over a decade since I have viewed it):

I'd always know what was(n't) beneath the armor, and wouldn't be able to sleep at night. -
Was there any major differences in the between the first release 31F and the movie edition? Different pilot/co-pilot sets?

2nd Max 1J to complement the PF version. 3rd PF VF-0s specifically to saunter around in the reactive armor. (practice foil/epee in the background not new) -
