    shocking! ^_^

I remember when the rumors first started about a "Star Wars" resort....in hindsight, that's what they should have done.....a Star Wars themed hotel would have been a no-brainer....I can't imagine it just being demolished....maybe they will convert it into the Star Wars resort everyone would have preferred in the first place

The problem is the hotel is too small for it to the profitable as a resort.   Most likely they will turn it into a resort or add on to it to increase capacity but it is a money loser for sure.   Really all comes down to poor management.

I was a prime sucker, er customer, for that - till I saw the price (and the tacky preview video).  Granted it was going to be a one and done type of stay.

I'm hoping they do something to make a less expensive attraction out of it.  A hotel with the theming but not the "entertainment" or "story" and which you can stay any number of nights would be interesting for the correct price.  Considering the de-theming they are doing at their other hotels I figure they are going to chalk this up to "people don't want to pay a premium for theming anymore" instead of "way too expensive and tacky".

Well, they should have based it off of one the well loved trilogies (the original or the prequels) versus picking the most divisive one.  It really was poor planning.   If it was original trilogy or prequel trilogy, I would have taken my family but they chose the one that I hated.   It is seems, the Sequel trilogy isn’t the draw they thought it was apparently.

Well, I’m not reading that from you or asking anyone else their permission to like it. Thank goodness. I just see things differently. My own experience as a writer feeds into it too, so there’s my bias. I agree that it’s important to use tropes sparingly but I wouldn’t say the presence of a writing trope—even multiple “and then” instances—automatically makes something bad. Certainly not this.

There could be a whole reconciliation plot with Din, the other Mandalorians, and Mandalore itself. The imperial attack on Bo’s home could be a red herring to throw people off or it could be introducing another important character into the mix. We don’t know at this point. There isn’t enough info, and so I’ll wait it out.

@Roy Focker: Yeah, the ranting about Kathleen Kennedy is gross. The sequel series could have been better. We can certainly have a discussion about how to make SW better and still include new/younger audiences. It’s just a difficult convo to have while toxic fans are still driven by this rage addiction.

Unfortunately, he has a point when you look at her track record at Lucasfilm.   Does anybody have to be reminded on the projects and directors gone during her ten year?

Agreed with @Bolt and @technoblue about the drinker.  I think I've played only about 10 seconds of one of his older videos and never watched anymore.  Every time I see his videos posted on this forum I just scroll past them.  Thank goodness his videos don't show up on my youtube feed.

Funny, that I do the same thing with all the promo puff pieces you post.    Great minds think alike.

I really liked Mando season 1 and 2.   The Book of Boba Fett was awful and season 3 is only marginally better.

Same about Keaton, even more than the Flash. As you say, he is entertaining, but the off screen b.s. is awfully distracting.

In fact, with Keaton coming back for this one, not using him for Bold and the Brave would be a badly missed opportunity!!

Umm…..   it is the Brave and the Bold I believe.   From the old comics.   They were great if you want to read them.   The Supergirl looks awful.  It should have been Cavil or some other Superman.

To be fair, that seems to be the new normal for entertainment news.  Streaming-first productions seem to do their utmost to control what information about the production reaches the ears of the press and, through them, prospective audiences.  It's only after production wraps or there's a significant shakeup like recasting or moving the series to a new platform that unfiltered news starts to come out.*  We likely won't hear anything except carefully-vetted press releases about this proposed Warhammer 40,000 series until after the release is over and done with.

(Not sure where you're goin' with the "No, except yes" thing... you say to take it with a grain of salt and then acknowledge that it's true in the very next sentence.)

We'll see what comes of it.  Hopefully there'll be some other producers able to exert a moderating influence on the proceedings.  That always seems to produce the best results when the lead creative's a bit eccentric or too passionate.

    * Like how we only learned what a troubled production Star Trek: Discovery was after Netflix took a hard pass on Star Trek: Picard and didn't get a complete picture until Netflix successfully escaped its contract with CBS and the show moved to CBS All Access.

I don’t believe for one moment that Cavil was that hard to deal with during production.   The dude has been in the business for a long time and this is the first time they are complaining about him.   So, I don’t believe the rumors.   Did he try to improve scenes and dialog?  Yes, and most actors do that on set.   Caddy shack is a great example.   The Masters scene with Bill Murray was all made up by Murray.   So that kinda thing happens all the time.  And really isn’t noteworthy at all or problematic.    Well, we all know Discovery was a crap fest from the get go.

I have to admit, for a fanbase that's been wishing for some mainstream exposure for so long I'm kind of surprised how overwhelmingly negative the expectations for this series are on the few WH40K fan communities I'm on.  The inevitable nerdy gatekeeping aside, a lot of fans seem to be pretty worried about the implications.  They're either worried that Cavill will use his Executive Producer credit to ride roughshod over production like he reportedly tried to do on Netflix's The Witcher, or they're worried Amazon will step in and require that the series be toned down to a less-than-authentic level to be more appealing to general audiences.

Well, the Cavil rumors on The Witcher only started after he quit the show.   So I would only take that with a grain of salt.   Probably just the creators trying to save face.   As far as Cavill trying to roughshod over production, he was the only good part and they admit he rewrote some of the most memorable scenes.  If you want to see how the series is run without Cavil, try watching Blood Origins.   It is complete rubbish.   So yeah, Cavil was the only saving grace for the show.   Rarely do you ever see a true fan run a series.  So I will give it a whirl and see what happens.
