They are going to make I guess is more accurate unless someone knows different and got theirs already...

So I took the bait and put an order in for this Angel Bird KO. Says it “should” ship by the end of the forth quarter. I’ll keep y’all posted.

So, random a bit here.. I have been re-watching Mospeada.. im like 3 eps from the end.. and I see Yellow say 'when i was on Mars'  . so it occurs to me.. I don't know the backstory.. Of course there's the episode where he gets the feminine disguise.. but he was on Mars? Was he a real soldier? Did he come in the first or second wave?  Any documentation of this available?

Lancer was shot down during the Robotech Expeditionary Force's first attempt to reclaim the Earth in 2038. He flew a non-transformable SFA-5 Conbat, leading Yellow Squadron, but crash landed during the attack. (Love Live Alive, Robotech: Invasion, Invasion)

A year later, he joined with his surviving comrades to destroy an Invid Hive in Paraguay. He met his wingman Dimitry, who had become an Invid experiment. (Robotech: Invasion)

Lonely Soldier Boy Yellow Dancer 1

"Yellow Dancer" in 2042. (New Generation: "Lonely Soldier Boy")

Working with Carla, Lancer took the name Yellow Dancer and passed himself off as a female singer, a role he originally created to avoid capture by the Invid. In 2043 he joined the fight with Scott Bernard and his resistance group. The handsome youth was quick to make light of his peculiar situation. They traveled across the Americas to reach Reflex Point, with Lancer flying one of the team's Alpha Fighter. (The New Generation)

He fell for the Invid princess, Sera, and helped her buy the Regess enough time to evacuate her people in the final assault. (The New Generation)

You're correct, unless someone made a garage kit I'm not aware of.

At least the SV-262 kits have a better transformation than the figure. The decals/stickers aren't too terrible, as far as Macross kits go.

So it’s not a bad buy then?

  4. Am I correct that the ONLY available transforming SV-262Ba is the 1/72 model kit that Bandai made?  I hate kits especially when you have to put on all the decals/stickers or even paint. But there doesn’t seem to be anything else on the market other than fighter only mode models

That’s a funny one. UK and US English used to be more aligned on how to pronounce the letter Z. Today, “proper” UK English uses zed as you point out, which is a derivative of the French and classic Greek and Latin pronunciations.

Some people like to say one way or the other is wrong, but I find it more of a language curiosity, myself.

All languages are amazing.  The inbid got by with a series of garbles akin to Zoidberg

Doubtful. English has so many regional accents and dialects, no matter whether you accept UK or US phonetics as globally representative. One can say to-mei-to and another can say to-maa-to and all that.

He’s poking fun at US English, but the UK phonetics should be written kaa-key and not car-key.;) The “f” for veldt is not unheard of, just uncommon (unless you’ve been to South Africa).

Z is zed?  That is all.

So its sort of like hearing an American mispronounce veld ( correctly pronounced: felt ) and Khaki ( correctly pronounced: carkey )?

No, you’re mispronouncing those actually. There’s no “f” in veld and no “r” in khaki. Can’t just go throwing sounds into words for fun man!  That’s be like “dog” is correctly pronounced “drought”

Google translate does a decent enough job...there are others like Bing's tranlate tools

Yeah but do I have to scan the page or does google translate allow you to use your phone camera?  Never used it.

I'd get a blue tread for sure and would love a black/shadow version, so if that got made, I'd be all over that.

I recall seeing the Toynami Beta(Tread) Shadow “prototype” I guess and not realizing it was never released until properly educated on here. I think Sentinel is going to do the Iota next, then the Eta Tread and see how that sells. Point being I don’t think any shadow version of either the legioss or tread is even close to on their radar right now.

  10. I know this was sorta addressed in a prior post but is there any way to get digital versions of these master file books?  I don’t even need like downloading one illegally from a source or anything I mean does anyone offer the option to purchase an ebook or pdf of these Master File books?

If you were looking for the PF then you shouldn't have ordered from AE.  If you want the regular version, then AE is just fine; however, if you're in the States, they don't have a way to deliver it to you currently with the JapanPost suspension.

CRAP!  Well if its not being released until what December at best i guess maybe things will be better by then?  Didn't want the PF so at least i got that goin' for me

My new stance on AE, after watching how they've treated a lot of MW members this year, is that I'll only go there if I have no other choice.

So..... I preordered from AE this morning. Should I not have?  Now I’m worried. I had a horrible experience with NY trying to get my DX Strike Parts so I vowed never again for them. Is AE just as bad?
