  1. I would imagine that that is the way of the world.  Robotech has little new content and has difficulty growing its fan base.  Macross has new content and is able to grow it's fan base.  That being said, the average anime fan may not have easy access to Macross outside of Japan.  MW members excluded of course.

  2. I generally do not watch dubbed anime, so I don't know who most of these people are.  Unless you were directly involved with one or more of these alleged incidents or know someone personally who was, all we can do is speculate.  Any accusation of sexual harassment and sexual assault should be taken very seriously until it is proven or dis-proven.  As far as sexual harassment goes, it is sexual harassment based on how the woman (or man) feels abut the encounter.  If the interaction, with a sexual nature, was unwanted, unwelcome, made them feel uncomfortable or disgusted, then it IS sexual harassment.  Will people lie about sexual harassment or sexual assault for revenge or out of hate?  Sure.  That's why we have a legal process to try to sort these things out.

The bottom line is that we have far too many traumatized women (and men) in this world; we DON'T need any more.

I personally know three women that have been victims of sexual assault and/or abuse.  They are a mess.  They have an extremely difficult time trusting anyone as well as a multitude or other issues from their experience.

  3. I have co-workers that loved Robotech when they were young, but all they've ever done was watch it on TV.  They've even owned toys, but they've never looked any further than that.  Everything that is Macross, Southern Cross, or Mospeada is Robotech to them.  They have even owned Orguss toys without knowing anything about it.

  4. I've looked into this a bit.  The hydrogen peroxide ends up being a surface treatment.  People claim that it does reduce the brittleness of the plastic in addition to the whitening.  There are ways to get the bromine entirely out of the plastic, but that requires Chemistry Lab equipment and chemicals.  There are several threads about this and you can go too far and burn the plastic as one Macross World member did.

We have no Legioss toy with rotating pilot seat, we always have pilot faces the ground.

Sentinel reimagine that and did rotating cockpit, @F18LEGIOSS mentioned that a year ago

I remember seeing that drawing.  I didn't notice that they made that happen.  Kind of a VF-4 style nose cone fold.  The whole torso seems to have been redesigned.

  6. I'm in!  Been waiting for this release for quite a while.  I do wonder how much T-REX makes, they seem to be the go-to designers for at least Macross toys.  Their MOSPEADA designs seem to be doing well and their Legioss looks promising.

  7. Would anyone pay for exclusive rights for a Macross 7 license?  I always like to believe that Big West will license to multiple manufacturers if there is enough interest.  Either way, we haven't seen much Macross 7 anything lately.

  8. To be fair, Nippon-Yasan is all they way over in Shikoku.  Assuming that Bandai's distribution is somewhere near Tokyo.  It will take at least an extra day for them to receive their stock.  Unless they fly it there or send it by bullet train.  They then probably ship oversea by way of Tokyo (extra back and forth).  It is probably why their shipping costs more than most.  Assuming that they don't just tack on extra for shipping just because.  :diablo:
