  1. I  personally don't have these super parts but You shouldn't have to extend the legs 1 click in order to mount them. Extending the legs in  fighter mode means dislodging the tabs on the backpack/arms that tab into the legs, the design of this VF is not meant to do this with or without the superparts.

  2. Hey Darotower, where in S. America do You live? If You can get Your hands on an intact hip bar, try taking it  to a artisan jeweller. They sometimes cast copies from other metal jewellry pieces, but You would have to ask if if they could do it in steel and heat treat it. You might have some luck, and not have to break the bank taking that route.

  3. Hey Xigfrid, could You take a pic of the vf-9 beside a vf-19, both in fighter mode for size comparison?  Maybe scaling it up to a vf-19's size might look pretty good....

  4. Hey Xigfrid, first of all awesome job and balls to tackle such a complex valk ! To my eyes it looks great but, maybe if You scaled it up a bit to make it at least the size of a 1/60 vf-1 that might give You more room to work on fine-tuning. I know many here would prefer a "correctly scaled" vf-9 but, as long as it doesn't end up as large as an sv-51, that minor size-up wouldn't seem too off. Just my 2 cents, keep it up & bravo !

  5. Hey Captainamerica, I was late in securing an F and got stuck with ordering the T... anyhow, when You get Your hands on one, will You be recasting the GR-97 dual forearm/frontwheel sidecover rocket launchers? If You do, would definitely be interested in a pair along with a EP-37 60mm hand-held particle beam gun.

Wanted to do a custom paintjob with the F, but the T will do.

    Thanks !

  6. Thanks for the info buddy !!

There is a method of clearcoating with future clearparts but, with future. I wouldn't dare to try that with acrylic paint, if you screw up, you might have a hard time fixing it.

I would strongly recommend taking the airbrush route. I have painted canopies on model jets with this technique and the results are flawless. Using a paintbrush will result in disaster and you will want to commit seppuku with  that same damn brush. If You can't find the tamiya clear colors, you can always use a GLOSS color of your choice, and thinner say, about 1 part paint and 6 or 7 parts thinner, mix and spray on whatever clear part you want to.

You need to go slowly, building up the coats till you get the desired effect on the visor, lights etc.

One more thing, can someone please tell me the size of the box the riobot stick comes in?

    Actual toy box that is.

    Thanks and cheers !!

I recieved my calibre wings jolly rogers f-14b 1/72 Scale Diecast Model today,  and also put my alter mave yukikaze on display. As you can see the mave is loaded to bear and I love how they added an extra stand for the fuel air bomb. Gives it a really dynamic pose. I have the super sylph too,  just need to get through the stupid cable ties alter use to secure the model in. They do not want you to get the model out in a hurry!
