I was looking for new, had never considered really the option of buying used... but I dont really have a problem with it so long as the joints aren't loose and the valk looks pristine. Let me check his thread cause that would be a considerable price drop.

So I need to jump on this boat. But I'm torn between buying this in the next couple of days or getting a VF-25F Renewal (more expensive).

My dilemma would be that if I go for the VF-25 I need to kind of restrict myself for a few months after that before I could come back to this Arcadia VF-1S and actually buy it. I'm afraid that when the time comes it will be out of stock by then (I buy from HLJ) and the prices will skyrocket on the aftermarket.

As of now the VF-25F Renewal pricing is pretty stable ($275-300) and there seem to be a lot of them on the market, maybe the better option would be to spring for the Arcadia now? Thoughts? I have no clue how the market behaves for the arcadia toys.

I will add that I do not currently have either a 1/60 VF-25 or a 1/60 VF-1S. I love the VF-25 a lot but the VF-1S is the grand daddy and with Strike parts its just great making it a tough choice.

One day we will get SDF Macross redone, a la Yamato 2199.

Fingers crossed for an HMR Super/Strike parts kit. Was looking online at the previous HM Strike parts since I'm interested and they are around the $100 mark, can't justify that price, plus I prefer the new color of the HMR parts.

I need this.... would settle for HMR or 1/100 kit or somethiinggg .. haha I know its not going to happen since this never reached animation...but a guy can dream

Now waiting for HLJ to ask payment for the VF-1J.

I hate having to wait always to throw money at HLJ... haha.. its like they don't want my money. I get antsy whenever I hear everyone get their's shipped out and mine is still in processing, happens a lot you would think I'd be used to it by now.

Caught a wild 1J that popped up available on HLJ after I read your comments. I assumed maybe someone would have their order cancelled at processing time due to too many of the item on the order so I decided to check. Seems I was right, just waiting on the request for payment and I'll be a happy camper, its back to order stop too.

Question, if you have already completed the build of a battroid and a fighter, you can always diassemble and form gerwalk, correct?

Its possible but its not a fun experience which I would constantly do. Basically after I did it once I decided to not try to parts form them again out of fear that in the handling and disassembly process the pegs will break.

Which is why many have suggested getting multiple sets if having all forms is a must.

The have to do SuperPack versions. BRING IT!

Yeti, I'm about to get a Yeti Beta stand engraved with a few accessories, looks great and I have a few Valks that I want to prop up on it.

I also build a lot of MG Gundams, I saw that on your site what you offer for Gundam are limited to metal builds and PG. It would be awesome if you could provide an adapter that has the same top recessed square connection as the Bandai Action Base 1 which then would allow any MG kit to be propped up on it as well. It would also open up possibilities for the 1/72 Macross kits as well.

I didn't gloss coat, but it might make them a little easier to tweak once down if you do. I didn't have any film to remove after they were on the model. I did go with the wrong size 03 for my front canard though, wish I had gone one size smaller!

Did you apply any sort of softener or anything like that or just water? Sounds like you might still have the film on it.

Not a fan of Delta. Not a fan of the idol group thing either. BUT. There were a few songs which were rather good.

I do need to give big big credit on their rendition of "Ai, Oboete Imasu ka" (DYRL) in their latest album release. It might just be tugging at my nostalgia strings, but I was afraid it was going to be butchered. They pulled it off really good, staying mostly true to the feel of the original while incorporating new elements and well 5 voices. Congrats to all who worked on this particular song.

Fire everyone involved at the staff level for Delta and bring back the crew who made the Macross Frontier movies so there will be massive retcons to create a decent story, real character development, some actual Valkyrie action, more then two listenable songs and make the Wind Marty Stus less so.

Maybe some actual cameos, like that one moment during the Wings of Goodbye.

One of the issues with Delta is it's cast is too big. A movie wont fix that as realistically they can't just cut out a part of the cast without severe public outcry and negativity towards that very action. Even if it helps the story massively. Even a retelling cant touch Walkure as thats their money making machine out of all this. Boom 5 semi-lead characters right out the bat again.

I'm hoping to see a movie production come out just to see what happens. Would I want it to actually be good? Sure. I think all of us would. Will it actually be any good? Strong reservations.

That canopy/cockpit looks like its shrunk down to like 70% of what its size should be relative to the plane..... :/

I wonder if SATELIGHT and Kawamori are like "YEP. Nailed it!" .... I guess as a money making machine in the end it is extremely successful. Look at how many copies Walkure discs are selling, so this in the end turns out to be just a 26 episode commercial for Walkure Idol group merchandise (no pun to the ones who consume it , I myself will likely get a figure or two in the future because I like the character design though not really the characters themselves) and to a lesser extent mecha toys/model kits.

Well looks like it's a given that SH Figuarts is happening for Delta... If previous Idols (the real idols *ahemm*) could piggyback off the success of that line I can't complain.
As a figma semi/collector the thought of Macross coming over would be amazing.

Frontier spoiled me on armored and super packs as most of the time the VFs were seen rocking them, I love the VF-25 on its own but they just looked so war ready with the packs on. I just couldn't get my fix in DELTA.. 2 episodes with super packs.. :/ well, that's just one more thing to add to the list of the many things wrong with delta but that's another matter entirely.

Can anyone make an educated guess at what are the chances of this new Hayate VF color scheme to be sold together with the super packs at a later date?

Macross Figmas... That would be pretty cool. Sheryl and Minmay would be amazing to have in Figma version, I'd even spring for a Mirage.. well one can hope.
