The stands certainly look a lot cleaner than the old SMS stands we got with the frontier valks.

iirc their promo video showed a prototype that was fully coloured and transformable

Refreshing to see a seemingly more simplified transformation. No more of the tuck arms between legs business. Tucking the arms to the outside of the legs and snapping them in underneath the wings is so simple and elegant.

The overall clean aesthetics of the VF 31 are refreshing compared to the intricacy of the Sv 262

I initially presumed the lasers came from the eyes, though its equally possible the lasers and the barrels are housed in the ear-like things on the Sv 262's head.

Another explanation could be that the lasers act as a projectile with travel time, and the VF 31 initially fired them when upright, where it then proceeded to roll or maneuver after the lasers were fired. This results in the image posted above. I could be wrong though.

I'd like to echo comments by all the others who hopes Messer stays dead, him living would be a huge let down. As they say in 0080... "HAMBURGER"

This does get me to wondering though, Keith was very fortunate that he used the little Drakken as a shield just long enough for him to take the shot on Messer, but why didn't Messer just keep blasting away knowing Keith was back there still, cause that would've ended Keith. There was literally no reason to stop shooting.

More importantly, is Keith controlling the little Drakkens at the same time as he is running his plane? That would be pretty incredible, may be some form of BDI where he is directing the other fighters, making them like funnels, oh no, the invasion of gundam into Macross sphere. (THE HORRORS) Otherwise, the little Drakken has lousy programming, flying directly into the line of fire.

Also, Messer becomes a trainer doesn't make any sense, it doesn't make him less susceptible to VAR, it makes it worse for him, because he moves away from the source of the vaccine. Now, if he gets VARed out in combat, here comes Walkure for the save.

This reminds me, everyone of the Delta member better get a fold crystal. You know, the need to resonate with their own personal Walkure. "A Walkure for every Valkyrie..." come on, say it with me.

Finally, I actually like it that the Mac series run around 25 episodes, it leaves you hungry for more.

Am already expecting it to be a gappy sloppy mess...so if then doesnt turn out to be so, it would be good..

but realistically speaking since every bit of the SV262 transforms (cue simple nose cone which turns into a head and eyes), gappy looseness is gonna be expected.

Im also really concerned about potential breakages and tolerance issues, given that the Sv 262 incorporates a lot of small hinges and moving parts, in addition to being a chogokin toy with metal parts no less. I don't think the complexity would translate well to metal and plastic.

Speaking of Arcadia, i've been getting mixed messages on the YF 19 toy. Anymoon says that it is a rather disappointing toy due to its poor ankle design, while other reviewers have said it is a fantastic piece. Opinions?

Im trying to decide between either the Arcadia VF 1S Strike reissue and the VF 19ADV Chogokin, any thoughts on the two from those that have them?

Back to the toy itself, the waist seems quite thin for what is a rather bulky upper body in battroid mode. That makes things a bit concerning regarding potential weight issues if the valk itself does not have strong waist joints.

Would you say the renewal armored parts are easy to remove? Id like to display the VF 25S both naked and armored.

Any thoughts on the armored parts for renewal VF 25's? They look amazing, but seem to have a lot of weight issues that I fear may cause some breakages on the toy. It also does not seem very playable from what i've heard.

Tbh im not too crazy about the VF 25 renewal armored or super parts, as the armored parts still look like they would cause massive weight issues, and the super parts aren't really my favourite design wise. Btw I love that gif

How did you guys watch the episode? The only versions i see on sundays are raw versions, so I guess you guys are able to understand spoken Japanese.

I've heard that the arcadia yf 19 has some problems with weak ankles, are there any other issues people found with that particular toy? Also, I do want to get a renewal vf 25, but the armored parts for ozma's vf 25 seem very, very expensive, and I have no idea how I can get one at a reasonable price. I feel that the renewal vf 25 alone feels lacking in terms of accessories. And lastly, any thoughts on the renewal VF 27?

Im looking to buy my first macross toy, and im deciding between the following options: Ozma yf 29, Renewal VF 27 super lucifer, Ozma VF 25S, Arcadia yf 19, DX VF 31, DX Sv 262, Arcadia VF 1S strike valkyrie(or any of the arcadia VF 1s), and Arcadia's VF 0A Shin. Id like to know some thoughts on these options, as well as recommended places to buy, tips + tricks, and what to be careful of. Id love to have the renewal vf 25 armored parts for ozma, but they are incredibly overpriced on amazon and I don't know any other site where they are still available. Thanks in advance!

I'd love to have the VF 25S renewal, but the armored parts are ridiculously over priced from what i've seen so far(up to $600 CAD/USD on amazon). Does anyone know where I can at least look for something a bit more reasonable?
