You know its funny that Windermereans use birds and feathers as iconography while Voldorians use cats. This episode shows while Windermereans have greater physical strength and senses but the Voldorians are still predators who are on top of their planet's food chain.

Pretty much Walkure origin story. The same year Chaos had Thrones it created another idol team. It had five members. Kaname was supposed to be a manager but became a member. 11 year old loner Reina is boxed hacker. Makina was a mechanic who wants to be an idol. Training would've made Colonel Burton proud. One girl quit at the beginning. A year later as they are deployed to quell the Var in the cluster it doesn't out like Jamming Birds. They get named Walkure. It was Makina's idea for the idol thing. Eventually they started having moderate success. Arad met Kaname saving her. He was flying a VF-31 Kairos. On Alfaheim Kaname spots Messer. Messer later joins what would be Delta Platoon. The other girl quits. Later they are joined by Mikumo who didn't join by audition. Singing on their first meeting.

Mikumo releases the team and she talks to them. They are concerned about her well being.

Meanwhile on the Windermere side they make a test on Al Shahal's citizens. Heinz collapses from the strain and the entire population falls on a coma. Keith suspicious interrupts Heinz's doctor treating him. Discovering that Heinz is dying wit the white marks on his body. Roid monologues that the Song of Wind is also a cursed song. Keith confronts him on what is happening.

Post Ed Berger talks with Roid about the mind control. Roid terminates the link after. On the Shrine of Time wondering who Mikumo is. The room lights up and info comes to him from a speck. Revealing some mechanisms and a mural of what looks like a Protoculture idol.

can someone count how many macross cannon firing during eps 1 - 20 on macross frontier?

cause we only have 1 macross firing in delta

well are winderemere planet crust consist of high quality fold quartz?

cause the scarfell crater seems different from galia 4 where it too had DE/MDE detonated

where does protoculture get those fold quartz to build the ruins? do they have mature tech to create fold quartz or they do the vajra hunt to get it?

well if lost zentradi attack winderemere before their war of independence perhaps they will think terrans are right.

I think the "real" wind singer are supposed to sing with positive emotion at the shrine of time and spreading positive fold wave on winderemere. that fold wave can prolonged their live. but seems someone know how to weaponize it for mind control + var

Pretty much Freyja's birthday episode. Last time we saw a girl turn 15 in Macross was Mylene. Freyja also wore the NyanNyan uniform in this ep.

Everybody readies for a surprise party and readying their presents. Mirage and Hayate go to buy at the mall. Makina, Reina and Chuck trail them shipping. Mirage goes straight to the point what is Hayate's relationship with Freyja. Hayate doesn't know himself. As they were shopping Freyja's singing affects his senses. As Freyja looks to the constellation where Windermere is. Mikumo joins in speaking as if she has been on Wndermere before. (500,000 years ago)

Mirage's comment about home gives Hayate an idea.

Everybody surprises, minus Hayate, Freyja with a B-day party. Mikumo starts singing Happy Birthday which the rest of Walkure follows. Freyja get teary. Back home when she was a kid she sung to lift the spirits of her village which suffered after the war.

Hayate finally come with his present. Snow via snow machines. He and Freyja have nice moments as Mirage watches. Eventually tears come down due to Mirage's own feelings for Hayate.

On other fronts.

Mikumo presents a strategy to free the cluster. Last time she sung at a ruin she had a newtype moment with Heinz. So the next mission involves one of the ruins.

Arad talks to his old teammate about Wright Immelmen. They agree not to tell Hayate anything.

On Windermere Heinz commits himself to escalating the war. Meanwhile the cracks on the Aerial Knights are becoming apparent.

how does winderemere got a fold fault? is it naturally occur? or is it "created" by the protoculture to seal off sigur valens?

we still dont know what gramia last wish, on ep 13 it only heard "heinz" but seems roid got more than that.

vajra planet are near galactic core while winderemere are at the edge of galaxy, they need very long distance fold to get there. unless sigur valens are able to do that.

But their continued use of the ruins means what? Now they want to take over the galaxy. That's greed and arrogance. Without the ruins, Windermere has no bargaining chip. When they lose that chip, a whole lot of people are going to want payback.
