1. Hey Graham. Which way is the U.N. Spacy insignia supposed to face on the VF-0's gunpod?

In Episode One the VF-0S has it right side up.

    IPB Image

In Episode Two the VF-0A and VF-0S has it upside down.

In Episode Four the Refueling Plane's spare has it upside down.

Chalk it up to more animation mistakes?

no animation mistake here...the sign on the gunpod bove side are in different direction.

pic one and pic two are 2 different side u see, and pic 2 and pic 3 are the same side.

u just think about the different in fighter mode and battroid mode, u can understand :)

  2. thanks!

UN Spacy is right, why is the "UN SPACY" on the gun pod upsidedown on this one? Previous shots of the box goodies showed it correct.

This is official design, one of the "un spacy" is upside down (right side when in the fighter mode),

    not like VF-1.

so the truth is ,the previous 1/60 VF-0S are doing wrong on this part.

we can check the OVA animation scene and the Hasegawa 1/72 's box art and decal guide

    also making like this :)

  3. I opened mine. They fixes the swivel joints but the shoulder joints now are loose on certain angles. In gerwalk mode, its loose but in battroid when the ball joint is turned to anothe angle, its quite tight. I tried to disassemble the hands but it was glued shut. Not easy to get to the ball joint.

    How ya did it, Hayao?

use cutter, do it slowly and gently, then you will made it :)

  4. I don't think the VF-0A pilot figure is Shin. IIRC, doesn't Shin's flight helmet have red markings? Have to watch Zero again when I get home.

    Graham

this is really not Shin sitting there, you right, Shin have a red helmet with yellow flash.

but yamato just provide Shin & Focker Pilot name sticker... no good ...

  5. Found some interesting on the angel bird sticker sheet.

there have no. "1"ï¹£"commander/leader to no. "6"--"reserved VF-1D"

sticker on the sheet, just like Hasegawa 's .

Seems there have a higher chance that Yamato to release the 2 seater.

  6. Hayao--how did you do the panel lines? Oil paint wash?

And did you do anything extra for the stickers---did you heat them to make them softer to conform better?

I using gundam weathering marker to do the panel lines, use water + cotton ball to wash it.

will make so weathering effect as u like during the process.:)

I just trim the sticker as tight as possible, havent heat them... is that mean if heat it can make them softer to

conform better? how to do this? I want to try~, thankyou very much if u can tell me ~ :)

  7. hmmmm is it my VF-0A alone that has loose shoulder joint ?

can't hold the gunpod in a upright position elevated...

and the chicken hands, still unable to have a very firm grip on the gunpod.u have to fiddle with the hands for sometime before u can get the optmium grip , while doing so , the gunpod will drop off.

u are not alone, my 0a also like ur's , but I Fix it by myself,

and the left hip ball joint also very loose, too bad

  8. Tks for the pics hayao. Are those decals/stickers from the sticker sheet that yamato supplied or custom ones from takatoy or anasazi37? 15 hours thats really pure dedication and devotion, but its worth it once the plane is done up.

    Cheers

most of it is original sticker form yamato, but I found some decal not provide by yamato, I don't know why

yamato not put it in the VF-0 series... SO , I apply some takatoy sticker .

and the VF-0A sticker have larger fonts side compare with the VF-0S.

  9. I found a few more different to the 1st edition VF-0S

1: the arm now add a screw to combine the outter armor, previous is just use glue.

    2. in fighter mode, the battroid head front side cover have a new sculpt, more fit with the head.

  10. from Graham's post, it seems that there's no indication that the 0A has a locking mechanism for the feet.

It would be nice to have one..but well, prolly it just costs them too much to remodel the molds..

I get this last night, comfirm that there really have locking mechanism for the feet , really nice~! :D

  11. I don't recall seeing any in DYRL, but it still has the chicken hands for perfect transformation. As far as I can tell, all the 1/48s come with chicken hands for this specific reason. But hopefully Yamato will include the TV fat hands with these as well.

see the pic it come with a TV pilot, this means it is a TV version package, so It must also come with the set of TV fat hand. :)

  12. Wow, this is great news.

From the CAD design in the first page, I do noticed the Fast Pack on the shoulder  :p  (notice the fin that sticked out).

    Coool  :)

    410235

ha, that's not the Fast pack, it just the inner plate that come with the orginal Yf-19, but 1/72 Yf-19 haven't made it.

The fastpack it's add on the outter side of the shoulder.

  13. I wonder what that UNKNOWN picture in the bottom left hand corner is all about.

    410075

about the text of YF-19 have nothing useful imformation in it, you can get all imformation by just see the pic :)

and about the left lower corner , is about Hasegawa new MACROSS secret product introduction in the 45th Shizuoka hobby show 2006.

about the "unknown" product, the text state that have many new parts supplement to the existing product , and the "volume "(the word that use on the banner) will be highly increase, working in progress and will be release in Autumn 2006。

I guess this maybe the Gbp-1S armor...just guess...

  14. Hayao, are those stickers? Do those (or any stickers at all) come with it?

    407985

The sticker on the tail fin, the"SVF-113" ,"208" ,"U.N. air force" the canopy cover

are come from takatoy's option Lowviz sticker:)

  15. *ahem*  just a gentle nudge back to "New Pics Of Low Vis Version 2"

TV vs DYRL is a great topic, but i'm pretty sure there is already a thread (a lengthy one at that) devoted to it.

we now return you to your regularly scheduled programming.

OK, let's get fly with the LV-2 :)

  16. Let's take haterist's advice and drop this inanity before we thoroughly derail this thread and end up getting it locked.  Like I said before, you're entitled to your point of view and I'm entitled to mine... jut let it go at that.

Besides, I really don't feel like breaking out my decoder ring in order to decipher that reply.

FYI: trying to veil your snide remarks through the use of smilies is rather lame and childish.

    406729

That's not a problem what wording you used, but hope you can understand what I'm taking about and forget all the emotional wording.

As I think, you denominate the "forearms" as a "DYRL forearms" is illogical.

Since we took the yamato's 1A or 1S "forearms" compare with the original design line art,

the point of the different is exactly the same between TV & DYRL , it was because the forearms design are radically the same between the two.

Therefore, we can't named that "TV" or " Dyrl".

Maybe let us forget the CF -1A first. Let say if someone put that forearms on his custom TV VF-1S, can we say this VF-1S is using DYRL 's forearms ? I think we can't, since there is a common different, this forearms must can't be specified between the two.

That's whyIcan't agree that took the forearms as a reference point to talk with , but the head.

    P.S.

if any words I used in my previous post make you feel uncomfortable, I'm sorry for that.

Like some guy said, english not my first language, maybe that's the point make we misunderstanding each others, but sorry that since there just can use single language to talk with. If we can own a real-time Zentradi language translater, we must talking in a peaceful atmosphere. ;)
