Did some research into Gakken.
All I could find is a publisher of periodicals that at times issued 'flock' with their issues.
Kinda like extras Hobby Japan, Dengeki Hobby, etc issues.
HTH.

Myself not that fuzzy, got another copy of the 1st 1/500 kit and will build it with the 1/700 lighting kit.
Can't afford to pay because new release because it has x% more accuracy nor do I want as said money can be used elsewhere. It is all fictional after all.
Just my view, ducks and runs.

Escaflowne, etc?
-
Japan and Europe shares the same dvd region, Blue ray shares it with the US.
PC drives should be region independent, many DVD players can also be 'modded'.
Sorry, can't answer the rest as all my anime watching is in Japanese or subbed(rarely). But doubt if they are common unless a licence agreement exists.
I do hate dubs may they be E-J,J-E or any other language I can speak/understand.

I don't mind the clothes, bit of a 21st century vampyre to me. Any jelly babies?

Modelglue.
Started my Wave Legioss Eta, don't see a problem with the knee assembly vs instruction.
Very standard Wave kit in detail, fit, etc.
There was one step though where I nearly forgot to drill a hole and that was before the shoulder launcher assembly.
I will also leave the wings off for now due to decaling and paint.
Pics over weekend also of a D-Style Patlabor.

Floored me too. Only been here for 17yrs but watched anime in Europe since age 6(many decades as go), wife was also involved in the Industry and was a junior at animator school to some big names.
Too many good talents have passed over the last fees years, like the voice of Raoul, etc.

Was at Nakano Mandarake earlier looking for a 1/35 Votoms kit, long and embarrassing story.
They had quiet a stack of Macross goodness (3rd floor to the right of the escalator).
Having bought and sold there(Nakano) for over 15yrs their stuff is usually in good/great condition and they refuse a lot that they consider below bar.
All their stuff is 2nd-hand bought but often never touched since purchase.
For ease of mind and no hassles I would go with them, HLJ, AmiAmi or Hobby Search.
But the final decision is yours.

Ichiro Nagai, the voice actor of Sazae-sans Namihei and Ranma ½s Happosai, died Monday. He was 82.
Nagai was at a Hiroshima television station to record a programs narration Sunday afternoon. After finishing a meal, he stayed at a hotel in the city. Since he did not leave his room by checkout time the next morning, the hotel staff went in to check on his status, and discovered him collapsed in the bathtub. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Nagais agency Aoni Production reported that the cause of death was ischemic heart disease or coronary artery disease.
Nagais many voice roles include Konakii-jiji in several versions of Gegege no Kitaro, Dr Sakezo Sado in Space Battleship Yamato (Star Blazers), the narrator in the first Mobile Suit Gundam series and movies, Jigoro Inokuma in Yawara! A Fashionable Judo Girl, Karin-Sama and Tsuru Sennin in Dragon Ball, Netero in the ongoing Hunter x Hunter anime, Cherry in Urusei Yatsura, Professor Amamori in Queen Millennia, Dr Reichwein in Monster, and Mito in Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind. He had just played the old man at the Phantom Ramen Shop in the second episode of Space Dandy. In live-action films, he voiced Dumbledore in the Japanese dub of the Harry Potter films and Yoda in the Star Wars films.
RIP, and thx for all the memories.

Hi all, if that has been already merge it with what exists.
Last night I went to supper with Mr. Suzuki(Gibhli) as we are of the same faith.
People from J.C.Staff, Toms Entertainment, I.G. Production and a guy from Tatsunoko Pro also stepped by.
In short it got lively but no shop talk.
I know more people in the Anime and kit business.

The Arii molds still exist Bandai owns them.
Nearly all the IMSI molds went to Aoshima/Argonauts which does little with them.
Takara was bought out by Tomy which now owns all their stuff, kits are now issued under Tomytec, yes they are called Takara Tomy but Tomy runs it all.
HTH.

Maybe they could do swappable inserts as Bandai did on my 1/72 VF1-A/S.

Forget Moebius from any Japanese source, Platz their local distributor way overcharges for them.
SSM seems to be a good source but charges normal prices.
-
I like the PW for combining items I buy as sets.
The savings shipping depends SAL is cheap till a certain point than EMS becomes cheaper.
You will need to check the English pricing tables(weights & sizes) on the Japan Post website to plan shipping properly.

Modelglue thanks for the feedback.
Looking forward to the 1/6 bike, normally not into racing or superbikes.

Hobby Search.

Imai, IIRC, did the transformable 1/48 kit, they no longer exist though.
The Monogram kit is a repackage of it.
-
I always found Yamato, etc extensive but said that I own some really expensive Resin Kits like 1/24 Patlabor(25000yen), 1/8 Scopedog plus Roundmover conversion(135000yen), etc.

Just added put this kit in the workbench(my camera is getting repaired):

I love motorbikes and ride, customise them myself, couldn't pass up this 50cc
Police Bike.
Wave 1/72 Legioss and Fine Moods 1/48 Land Speeder will join it on Wednesday.

Very nice on the Mospeada kit. Standard Wave quality I guess.
How did it go together any probs or points to be aware of?
Was it a snap or glue kit.
I am starting the blue version on wed.

Heads up for the members in the kanto plain.
Tomorrow at 19:00 on MX-TV "Tiger & Bunny: The Beginning" will be shown.
I am a fan of that series and got all the released models build up.
-
I got Wave 1/72 Legioss kit incoming next week, has anyone here build one of those kits?
Also still undecided if I should build the 1/12 Imai Iron kit as Stick or Rey, any preferences?
Got 6 kits in total incoming including the Max Factory 1/72 Dougram kit.
-
I am happy with the 1/72 plastic models, currently got 3 regults being build into scout and attilery versions.
Not really into toys/collectibles.

Same here lover of all Destroids and Zentraedi mecha.

Hobby Search also frowns at cancelling orders or pre-orders.
I don't think both hold a large stock in house like HLJ does, their warehouse is massive.
