Hi All?
Anybody here interested in doing paper models of mecha, figures?
Myself want to get back into for a few reasons.
1) Need to keep those skills sharpened.
2) Cost most models are free and the only expenditure is materials like paper, glue, printing, etc.
3) Not much in kits coming out that makes my list for purchases.
4) Also want to get back into resin/figure kits, can't afford plastic and resin kits at same time.
5) I don't do Toys or or other collectibles.
So far downloaded a few Destroids, 4 Valkyrie, 2 Tron Lightcycle 1 Legioss and a massive Lambda/Tydirium Shuttle(very complex Buldi..

With limited time I would recommend Nakano Broadway, much smaller and easy to get too.
Akihabara is spread out with shops moving at times as the area is being redeveloped.
Many shops are also hard to find.
Many shops don't open before lunch-time, plus some shops take their vacation day on a weekday.
HTH.

Most of their stuff is limited to 10 per customer, most likely to keep wholesale orders separate.

Good on Valks, Destroids, etc for the foreseeable future.

Different way of the romanisation of japanese, the YF-28 seems to have been a typing error asx in other locations it was listed ax YF-29

Most likely you will have to do some legwork as it might be stuck at customs.
the Shipper has little control/say once it leaves their hand, before they can claimed the insured amount they must make sure it is really lost. That takes time.

If the price is right for you than it is good.

What shipping method did you use? Insured or not insured.
What they can do will depend on that.

Actually the suit is NOT from Starship Troopers but a Studio NUE original Design.
Rebuilding the 1/12 Plastic Model kits (Phase 1 & Phase 2) now, also got the 1/20 Action Figure.
Banzai released a Vinyl Kit from the Starship Troopers Anime, best book adaptation.

1/144 HG Dendrobium is indeed a huge Box and an even bigger Build.
IIRC, correctly close to 1m in length.

Nice, I always liked the Purple Bear.

It is a Bay movie, enough reason to skip it.

Stuck to my beans 0 ordered out of 0 planned.
Just can't see myself pouring that much money into something prepainted and preassembled.
Good luck on the hunt.

Date is open so far but around that time, booking is open to all residents so date needs to be fixed.
Alternate venue(no booking) would be Musashino Chuo Koen. BBQ area below the trees.

Got this crazy idea to hold a BBQ for members in Tokyo?
I can book a BBQ area next to Inokashira Park for FREE at around the Sakura Blossoming time, car parking included.
Just need the numbers, meat I can get from TheMeatGuy in Nagoya or Hanamasa they also do overseas meats, etc
Any takers, might have some surprise visitors too but again depends.

Licence, cost vs profit, etc
Hasegawa never was heavy into SF or the Anime market. Add in the recent spat with Tamiya and ..?

Now I feel old.

Used to enjoy it but no age announcement here, had some of the resin kits.

Bit of history for mandarake.
They started as a 2nd-hand bookshop at Nakano Broadway 3rd floor but expanded into anime collectibles. Many years ago they got listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange and also got shops overseas. They are legit and also employ foreigners at their HQ in Nakano.
As a side note Nakano has been the anime centre decades before Akihabara.

Usually and IME packages leave Japan fast but often overseas the tracking is not updated.
Usually EMS is even faster than Air-Mail, had all packages arrive within a week.

Don't worry it was easy to miss as it was written in Japanese.
I could scan my instructions and send them if you want, only head differs.
Or you can view them on Hobby Search, great reference site.
I keep all the kit Instructions, build up a bit over 40yrs.

HLJ is my fav online store, they do everything by the book though.
No adjusting package values on declarations, etc.
Rainbow 10 also used to be good but they shut their online business.
Does anyone build Hasegawa Valkyries anymore??
in The Workshop!

I am thinking about getting VF11 next month.
Not decided on actual kit yet.
