What exactly is the difference between the VF-11B that comes in robot mode in the box and the VF-11B with fastpacks that comes with the boosters but comes in jet mode in the box? Are their any differences between the two toys other than the removable fastpacks?

I've got a deal in the works for swapping my Bandai VF-1A head for a Jetfire head, but I received a PM saying that the neck pieces are a little different. Does anyone have any experience with this? I just want to make sure I get all the right pieces for the swap. Any advice would be much appriciated.

Is that actually Bandai armour? I was looking at it and the size almost looks like it's the Yamato armour put on a Bandai fig. Am I right? Did Bandai release that set of armour (with the cannon on the right rocket booster)?

Ahh, ok. I'm a bit more informed when it comes to Transformers (called TFs on the boards I'm usually on). But yeah, basically a set of Jetfire armour would be cool. What's the quality of recasts? I really want this set of armour for the VF-1A I'm getting, so I'm open to suggestions. I also found a pic of the exact armour I'm looking for, but like I said, colour isn't really an issue, but red is preferred.

It's the 1/55 armour. Basically it looks like this http://www.macrossworld.com/macross/toys/bandstrike_1.jpg , only I don't really care what colour, so long as it's armour. I'd prefer it in red, but I wouldn't complain if I could get any colour.

I'm looking to find a set of Bandai armour for the VF-1A figure. Does anyone know where/how to get some? If so, what are the prices like? Any ideas?

I'm thinking of opening up the ol wallet and once I clear the moths away, buying a new Robotech/Macross figure. I currently have Yamato's YF-19 and VF-1S and I'm a little on the dissapointed by their floppyness. But I'm primarily looking for one to keep in jet mode, so I don't completely rule Yamato out. Anyway, any thoughts as to which one would look best? I've found a few that look particularly cool, but if anyone else has any ideas, feel free to post. Here are the ones I'm looking at: -Toynami Masterpiece VF-J Miriya 1/44 Vol. (or the blue Max painted one) -Toynami Masterpiece YF-1R Jack Archer 1/55 Vol. 6 -Toynami Masterpiece Alpha Fighter Shadow Sue Graham 1/55 I've never had a Toynami Masterpies, are they any good? How do they compare to Yamato? Do they come with the armour? If not, is there anyway toget the armour? Also, one more thing. I saw in a comic book store a white and blue YF-19. Was that a custom, or did they actually produce that? Just curious. Anyway, let the replies begin!
