It's been like that for most websites when you select a different currency

If you select USD , it'll be $116.21

If you select JPY , it'll be 11980 ($110.34, as of 04-12-16)

I think N-Y's conversion pricing is very close to if not more than Paypals

So if your creditcard doesn't charge conversion fee, you should definitely use that.

I only money saving way of using the N-Y's own conversion is if you know the yen is going up and you want to lock in the price that's close to the current rate and would also like to pay later.

I noticed this a couple of months ago. Before, they were using market rates, so I'd order in USD, instead of JPY to avoid Paypal's below market exchange rates and save a few bucks. It was nice while it lasted...

Any chance there's an evolution toys vf-2 battroid connector in the works? For the ten of us that actually bought one...

My Metal Build Strike Freedom finally arrived by good old registered SAL small packet from CDjapan.

From all the stores that I have made purchases, Cdjapan's packaging is definitely at the top of the scale.

Every box is always nice and sharp, each box gets individually bubble wrapping, then all the extra room gets fill with packaging paper, and the Shipping box is always a bit bigger.

That's weird, ive had the opposite experience with cdj. Ive ordered about five separate items from them, and four of those times its looked like someone stepped on the box. Better packing would have saved a couple of the items. I just assume anything I order from cdj is gonna be the opener.

Strike freedom back up at hlj, low stock...

Does anyone think the back thrusters sit too high on the metal build freedom and strike freedom? I prefer the way the MG's look, where the top of the thruster is level with the top of the chest. Looks off to me seeing the wing hinge and back thrusters popping out when looking at it from the front.

Damn, sales tax in Cali though...still, comes out about $10 cheaper than BBTS or Amazon.

Has any additional preorders for red frame popped up? Usually they come up again within a week of the initial preorder, but I haven't seen any...

Whelp i gambled on this preorder, and now I can't back out. Their mazinger stuff doesn't look that bad, why does this look so off? And the tabs! They made them extra long on top of it. Jeez.

Why does NY price they're stuff so competitive for one item, and then mark other items up so high? It's weird. Having said that, I love that you can pay in usd, their conversion rates are a few points better than paypal or my cc. Plus you can time your payment when the fx is most favorable.

IMO, the only reason to get a VF-25 over the VF-19A is if you can get the armor as well. And since that's not getting re-released, and aftermarket costs an arm and a leg, I say go 19. My VF-25's sit bitterly in their boxes because of this. I'll probably end up selling them.

Excellent update Tochiro. Everyone's talking about the business model, but I'm just glad that what we're seeing isn't the final product. Hopefully, they'll take the tabs comment to heart, because that's the biggest issue I have with this release. I can live with the rest...
