Watching DYRL for the first time. Blew me away even though I was watching it via sub with iffy video quality...

AFAIK only the raw is floating around...

Is this an interior shot of the kit or from teh movie... I haven't seen any of the movies in a while.  Looks like a sweet kit.

That was an illustration used during the film's production. The interior of the kit (the shuttle/cargobay) was modeled after that, actually

Saw a collection of screencaps... I'm still not too pleased with how it looks, the new character animation never appealed to me much. Gotta admit the mecha look great now, though

Found the torrent a month ago, but my firewall hates BT, so that was out of the question

Got two of them back in May. Haven't worked on them much. They've both been sitting in my closet. I'm waiting until I get I feel safe enough with my modeling skills to work on it.

Most I did was a test fit just to see how big this sucker really was, wasn't disappointed either

When the funds get a little better, I intend to light one of the two. But with school expenses, that might not be easy

Just saw the finale. Considering how well the series built up everything... I felt this episode was a let down.

The battle had a lot of potential to be good, but it wasn't handled to well. For such a hardcore "extermination" squad, they all went down pretty easily.

There was only so much they could do with only one episode left. It should've been an hour long episode at the least if they were going to do that. But this is a classic syndrome. You knew Sousuke was going to be pretty much invincible anyway once he figured out the Lamba driver - which I still don't get. What did he solve? Finding his "uselessness?" Confidence in his only being human? I find I could care less about the AS battles anymore. They are too predictable in this series. The promise in this series was finally getting genuine military mecha that were realistic, but now that there is the Lamba driver, this is just another robot show.

All I can say is poor Tessa. They are just postponing her getting her heart broken in another series.

I knew Sosuke was going to be pretty much invincible, I just expected the Venoms to put up more of a fight. The first one for example, it didn't even move... it just stood there and got destroyed.

As for the Lambda Driver, I really didn't mind it at first. It was a device that could only be utilized with extreme circumstances. That was before... now though, it just seems like something you can turn on with the flick of a switch.

Another thing that disappointed me was Chidori appearing in HK. I think the end would have been better if Sosuke had gone to Tokyo and saw her there alive for himself. As for how Sosuke would have gotten his spirit back, well, he could have simply thought of what Chidori would have said/done to him if she saw him like that. Just like in the series, only she's in Sosuke's mind... not actually there

I'm happy to see Mari Iijima returning as Minmay. If she's able to do the english part well, I may just check out the dub.

I found the Testors tubes to be the most effective for me. I use toothpicks to apply it in tight areas (sometimes even trim the pick to make it sharper and thinner)

I tried using the liquid cements, but I never had much luck with them. I'd always end up with seams.

It was actually that medium that got me into most of my current hobbies, sci-fi in general, and modeling. So I think I owe it a little more than denying I like it.
