I kinda wish I wasn't hell-bent on finishing the game, I could've found out about the consequences of 150/45 earlier. Oh well, DD + Stun arm is pretty OP anyway.
I figured out how to
get Quiet to hold still long enough for the supply box to connect on mission 40... Use the Weather Dominator! (rain).
-
When you're extracting a materials container, there should be a prompt when you're on top of it.
"hold button to ride fulton extraction".
-
Try the stun arm (grade 4). It's a very good alternative to Quiet.
-
Play mission 21-22 offline. If memory serves... when you fail there, mission 22 should show up by itself on the list.
Tranq pistol & CQC should do fine, find a spot to ambush guards on the 1st level, eventually you'll whittle the enemy down to the commander at the top of the platform.
-
Yeah, my bad. I've been staying offline playing MGSV the whole time, and it never occurred to me to go online to check for updates.
I've been reading some threads on the Silent Basilisk thing, and it seems he does eventually get "fired" after you fully expand Mother Base and keep Fultoning soldiers with better stats. Can't confirm this, though. The low-stat interpreters are still hanging out at my intel strut, and no matter how many times I throw them into the waiting room, they automatically get shuffled back to the Intel unit.
Well so far, I'm at max Mother Base development, and the guy's still around - actually, there's 2 of them now. "Silent Basilisk" and "Ziang Tan".
The game refuses to let you get rid of them.
-
No, that was before the patch, you just have to wait 'til MIA status clears out of the staff menu before recapturing. Unfortunately, nothing comes of it yet.
I was not aware of that - I just figured it didn't register after you redo the mission, and basically ignored it all. My mistake.
I hope it doesn't turn out like that annoying "Silent Basilisk" bug.

Apparently, as per the latest patch...
she's stuck in the brig

As long as the mission allows you to eliminate Skulls, you can Fulton them. But only for a brief period - they either get up & disappear, or dissolve into goo.
Edit:
Forgot to mention: You may need a rank 4 or better Fulton for it to work. I was pretty far into the game when I found out it was possible.
-
Head straight for the airport, they always start there and you have plenty of time to do what you need to do. You can also go in with D-walker + gatling gun. As soon as the Skulls appear, lead them away from the truck, and blast away, just don't let them touch you. Although I think a rank 4 or 5 rocket launcher is the fastest way to deal with them. Oh, and make sure to fulton them immediately after they go into a "coma".
-
I don't believe I've seen the pile bunker in any attacks either, but the
red mist
is the effect of the grenades being used.
Edit: spoilers (sorry).

Does that require use of Konami's oh so wonderful severs?
Unfortunately, yes.

Team Kuratas all the way!
IMO, the Megabot epitomizes how far behind western mech design philosophy is - the Kuratas is a mech, the Megabot is a forklift/bulldozer with guns.
-
I only read Forever War, never got to read the sequels. Would you call the sequels essential reading, or can you just stick with the first book?
It'll be interesting to see how they work with the material & themes. And I hope their suits are well designed.
-
Isn't this is just typical HG behavior?
Every time they feel the need to be relevant again, they name-drop a trending Hollywood name (or harass somebody over questionable IP infringement). After a few weeks, it eventually goes nowhere.
I'll believe it when people are actually buying tickets.

and that's where you have to aim the stinger to kill metal gear right? or at least get liquid to open the damn cockpit.
i'm wondering if this one will take like 9 months to roll out.
Yup, that part is hard to miss (in a matter of speaking).
On the bright side, there's 9 months to save up for it.
Here's a pic of the Kotobukiya Rex with arrows on the missing parts.
-
I was excited about the half-scale & improved engineering, but then I saw the parts that are still missing.
In particular, the second radome fin & the center sensor(?) above the FE laser.
-
Always! One of these days, I'm going to talk my wife into letting me get a 3D printer. I'm going to leave out the part where I mostly want one for custom gunpla...
Ain't that the dream! The power to make custom parts/toys on a whim and (relatively) for free!

IMO, the reviews missed the point of the movie.
It's not about the people, it's about the growth of AI in a less than ideal environment, and how it evolves from its tragic beginning.
-
I saw it earlier today, loved it!
The reviews are correct about the misleading trailers though, it's a completely different film.
"Do you want to sleep?"

Sometimes, rubbing the nub with your fingernail works, other times, you really have to sand the whole area until the discoloration goes away. A coat of Future helps hide the discoloration after sanding too.
But practically nothing works on dark, metallic & chromed parts except paint.

UN_MARINE: Can we see the rest of that build??
It's been a long time, but I finally got round to making gunpla again. Ironic, since I came to Japan to indulge in the otaku life, but wound up getting caught in the rat race instead. Never again!
This is the MG 1/100 ReZel Type C Defenser b Unit.
Great work on the ReZel, nice, clean build!
Here's a few shots of the Ex-S (sorry... pic overload).

Just started this little project. Could seriously take a while though...
