Why is the term 'symbolism' so hard to believe. Guld's memory is basically dream sequence. Look at the coloring of the animation and the speed of the footage (Looks like there's less cells) it's not meant to be a flash back of exact events but what currently happing in Guld's mind. The facts can still be fuzzy in Guld's memory. The mind may still be trying to protect itself. Guld doesn't need to see himself going further. The mirror could be a creation of his mind just confirming that was he doing the 'deed.' Mirrors have to be one of the most common clich'ed symbols.

Exactly. You can not trust the Guld's memory as fact. It's more symbolism than anything else. For all we know there wasn't even a mirror at the actual event but when the repress memory came out then mirror appeared in Guld's mind for the memory.

Even though an actually rape isn't seen it's pretty much suggested. I think it would be pretty graphic to show a 5 minutes rape scene when a torn shirt tells you what likely happen.

He's really trying to beat me as the mean mod. When we have to get tough it's not because of a choice (Okay maybe with me it is ). We get tough when we have to. Anyone can say I moderate over here or the moderators over there don't act like this. Yeah they don't but MW is different animal all together. I also see members here joking about the quality of the membership on other boards. If there wasn't such a tough moderating presence here you will all have reason to joke about this one as well.

I was or still was known a the mean one. I haven't changed at all. Max I think has become more like me! He didn't act like this at first but I'm guessing he had to adjust for the needs of the board.

Kawamori and friends thought Gundam was cool when they were in school. There was several things in Macross inspired by Gundam.

20% of Gundam is not half bad. The stuff that seems to driving the pre-teens crazy tends to be the lame stuff.

The 'Reviews' are for 'Reviews' not for starting as many polls as you can asking others to give their opinion. As you can see I'm allowing one these polls to stay but in a more proper forum.

General notice to others reading this:

If you need to see what a review is look at a magazine. They are typically a well written short essay about your opinion on something. They are not

"Hey do you think blank is cool?"

"Yeah I dig blank!"

If you want to casually talk about a macross game, movie or toy do so in the usual place don't use the review section.

Your topic was mostly a 'link' topic. When you want to post a review. Post a review, you know a good long paragraph talking your opinion about 'blank'.

A couple of sentence about your opinion is not a review and was about 10% of the content of the topic.
