The FF has no compelling stories to tell in my opinion.

This is why I never got into FF myself. All the last two movies do was confirm my dislike for the FF. I'm amazed their still around.

Alas, there are no "official" subs for Macross 7. Everyone here is using re-timed Central Anime fansubs that are patched to the remastered DVDs. I believe these are the best for the moment. It's a simple process to add the subtitles; however, finding the files has become a little tricky nowadays. You will need the patches, the clean .iso files with no subtitles, some spare dual layer DVD +/- R discs and access to a computer (or a willing friend) to make copies.

There may also be places you can go to grab .iso files with the patches already applied, or just straight .mkv fansubs. But, as with the other stuff, it's becoming difficult to find sources.

The original DVD patches do have an issue displaying correctly on the PS3 too. The "how to" I wrote above summarizes all the steps earlier in this thread that one needs to follow to fix that issue.

Unfortunately my computer recently crashed. If not for my tablet I'd have no Internet access. I was just asking if someone could burn me a copy with proper subs. If not I'll just get a Malaysian copy from eBay in next payday.

No mine was fine. At some points the subs get a bit wonky but for the most part are pretty good and the picture was surprisingly good. It was wrapped in clear plastic with the DVDs in a slim tin case that slides into a fancy DVD cover that has a flap that opens at the front. Now to watch the two MF movies that came with it.

They can't really do a renewal version of something that they never released in the first place.

I just got done watching the Malaysian version with English subs. It was ok, got it from eBay. It will work with your ps3 just like the m30 game. Know one knows if it will have English subs. That's why I haven't placed my order.

I'd like to see an sdf1 renewal in 1/3000 and 1/5000.

Does anybody have this with correct subs on DVD? I had a bootleg copy from eBay and it was a cheap one at that. From bad picture to subs that don't make sense.

They arrived yesterday and I was disappointed by how lose some of the figures were. The YF-21, klangs quad, and the vf-11. There playable and he seems happy. Although they'll wear out sooner than later. Good thing he's taking it easy with them. He has them on display most of the time. Better than on the floor like his Pokemon toys and cards.

The 19 is great, just like the video review says. I have nothing but praise for the yf-19. There a bit larger than the vf-25 from the robot spirits line. They still make good action figures or display models for the macross fan on a budget.

Nice review. My son saw they were on sale at HLJ and bought a few a while back. Your review has been helpful in that I now know that he needs to be extra careful since there hollow. Better he destroy these than the chogokins tho.
