  1. I'm pretty sure that the Prometheus and Deadalus are in Macross Plus; they are, of course, half-way underwater and there aren't a lot of good shots of the fortress... but its just that there's so many suspension wires attached to the Macross that you can't really make-out where the fortress ends and the city begins!
  2. Pardon my ignorance, but what is the meaning of the title placed on the SDF-1 Macross model box at the top of the page entitled "Makurosu"? (its the second link from the homepage) It gives the title "Stormattacker-Construction", and that's one title that I just can't figure out.
  3. The first time that I saw the designs for the "Minmay Guard" Valkyries, I was kinda wondering as to how this design came about. However, as I'm not really a modeling afficianado, I was more interested as to how--if at all--the Minmay Guard squadrons would operate in the world of Macross. Personally, I have never heard of "Minmay Guard" story-wise, but I think that its an interesting concept, at least, that the U.N. Spacy could possibly create a special squadron with that name. However, what would be the purpose? I must ask...And if there's already an explanation, then I suppose that the following are in vain, but alas, let's give it a shot: Minmay Guard is... 1) A special deployment of renegade Zentraedi busters in the proximity of Earth orbit; 2) A morale-boosting display team post-Space War I, a la the Angelbirds; 3) A singing group, like Jamming Birds (ugh...okay, forget that one) 4) An award of some sort, as if to recognise the U.N. Spacy's top squadron each year, giving them the honor of wearing the title "Minmay Guard." Its interesting: A squadron named after the universe's most beloved idol singer!

I always thought it was a cool/stupid idea about having the Valkyries in different modes being totally different mechs. Its like having an army of launch-day-Hikarus who don't know how to use the transformation controls! "Send in the Battroids! Followed by a bombing run by the Fighters, and have the GERWALK squadrons come in to clean up the mess!"
  5. Maybe I'm mixing-up names, but the first name that I recall that was the singer for "Runner" (every episode but the final one) was Asa Akane, the same vocalist that sung the opening theme "Macross." Of course, the version I'm looking for was done by Mari Ijima (duh--sorry!) and it really kills me when I hear it--its hard to listen to, because its so beautiful...
  6. I've just gotta say "Congratulations!" to you, 'cause I know that was the way I felt when I first got my PS2 modded. But if for nothing else, just like Mike and myself, this should stand as a notice to all of you PS2 gamers out there: GET YOUR PS2 MODDED! Its worth the price, in my opinion, if only to play Macross!
  7. Thank you for the link. Now I'll really consider printing it out...darn! That cover's even better than I remembered. They should seriously make a poster out of that...
  8. I always kinda figured that Misa's capture had something to do with it... But then again, Hikaru could have always ordered Vermilion Group to withdraw and leave their mission objective behind...
  9. Unfortunately, the game has skyrocketed in value due to the fact that its relatively limited run now has copies in the hands of two types of people: 1) True Macross fans 2) People who would enjoy the chance to sell to true Macross fans So, even though the game is terrible (or so I've heard), it still fetches a good price because its either being sold by a Macross fan who knows what other fans are willing to pay and doesn't necessarily want to release it from his colleciton; or being sold by some dealer who just happened to get his hands on it, knows what a market there is for these Japanese Macross games in the growing number of animé fans, and attaches words like "Sterling," "Veritech," and "Miriya" to his description line when trying to sell it. In the end, its kinda become a demand-over-supply measure, despite the fact that, yes, as we all know, the game stinks. But the box is cool. Reeeeaaaallly cool. If I could only buy a box separately...
  10. MESSAGE FROM KHYRON_PRIME: Alright. A new name. I'm here at Macross World and due to peer-pressure I've signed-up for a new name--honestly, I don't know if I can handle it; its like a drug-withdrawal to change my name from a Robotech one to a Macross one, but hopefully, I'll be able to stick it out...I'm feeling raped in this cowl right now, but perhaps the Macross name will inevitably prove stronger.
