  1. Probably means there's little or no sound deadening, but the power-to-weight ratio must be phenomenal for its class. If I recall, it's also the only production car right now with no power steering, which is unnecessary for such a lightweight car.

Loud as hell, no power steering.

One of the valets at my building in Chicago is not strong enough to steer it.

I love the thing. So fun.

  2. At least you can easily get rid of dirt and oil on the surface of a Delorean. And it's easy to hide scratches on. Matte black, yeesh. It also absorbs a ton of heat, which sucks in southerly climes. For that matter, it absorbs every bit of UV that gets thrown at it by the big sky ball, so it looks lighter and lighter as time goes by and the paint oxidizes. And it's not like gloss where you can just buff and polish it back, and wax to protect the paint and maintain the finish.

I just can't express my disdain for matte black enough.

The only exception I can find is painting a car with black bedliner. Not porous, and basically indestructible. Looks good on offroad vehicles.

  3. I keep wondering if some of you have even seen the other Mad Max movies. 'Cause it doesn't seem like it.

The first one was an incredible film

The second one was a bad 80's movie, with no relationship to the first and I found mildly disappointing, and insulting to the first.

The third one, was a ridiculous action comedy that I wish I could unsee.

THERE IS ONLY ONE MAD MAX MOVIE TO ME.

This trailer looks like the second one plus the matrix, more than anything. I will see because I like DT, and I can tell he is excited. But Duke, expect the phone to ring when I am done. Either way we will need to discuss.

It's not that I'm in complete disagreement with you, AgentONE. Though I'm a huge Bruce Lee fan, I too get annoyed by the "Bruce Lee could kick anybody's ass" comments as well. It's kind of like the old "my dad can beat up your dad" playground argument. It gets old and tiring real fast. In his day, compared to many of his contemporaries, Bruce was way ahead of his time. Nowadays, the gap has shortened considerably and the standards have risen. The conditioning of current professional fighters at the very least equal or (as is more likely the case) surpass his conditioning. In spite of that, Bruce was still indeed a capable athlete, fighter, and impressive martial artist off screen--even by today's standards. Let's at least give credit where credit is due. wink.gif

I missed this comment back in 11. Yes, he was an amazing artist. I will go even further. If Martial arts is truly an ART, then BL was the man, but if Martial arts is about fighting, then he lived in a day when no fighter was tested like today, so we will never know.
