As far as the toys and chicks go, I totaly know what you mean. I only keep 1 1/48 out and the rest are in boxes. I figure I can get away with having just one thing in my room, the rest of my appartment is mostly modern art and random stuff from around the world. The Macross toys stay way back. Toys are made in production runs, it may take 3 to 6 weeks to set up a run, then the run will only last for a few days producing thousands of 1/48s, then they break it down and make something else... If demand stays up there may or may not be reason to do another production run.

I thought that the entire carrier in space thing was dumb, including the Deadelous and Promethius... Glad they corrected the mistake in DYRL.

Doesn't Claudia announce the transformations? It would make sense that Japanese is not her first language. She does in TV Macross, but I am not sure in DYRL. I think so though.

I've been around since the alt.fan days, but back then I only logged on every few months, and every time I did I posted under a different name because I didn't remember the previous handle, but it was mostly lurking. I was living in a fraternity house at the time and I was capt. of the rugby team, also was a student govt. officer most of the time in college so I had zero time for Macross. There wasn't much to talk about back then anyway, there were not many products coming out then... Jan. 2001 is when I started Major Focker (The Major) as a handle... Basically Emerson (old member here) won a 1/100 Takatuko VF auction that a friend put on eBay for me. He lived close to me at the time so I hand delivered it to him. He told me how fun MW was if you posted frequently.

I think you need to follow his life story to see him as a hero, you also need to see Pumping Iron. I mean think about it, he came to the US with 20 bucks in his gym bag, and he ended up being the highest paid entertainer, and the leader of the fifth largest economy in the world. He made something out of nothing and allong the way he inspired hundreds of thousands of people... I personally would take a bullet for him.
