  1. Yes!

Thanks for posting those up CF18. I think i'll be picking them all up at one point or another save for maybe the Gaiking.

As for the VF-1S, i'm hoping that the final product is not that out of proportion. It could just be the angle that the photo was taken in or even that the figure was a test-shot, so here's hoping.

  2. That is confusing. Can you elaborate?

I think he means that since the New Movie Evas are actually larger (height and proportions) than the Original Revoltech Evas, the new "Mini" line is actually an effort to put these New Movie Eva Models in scale with their Original Revoltech Counterparts. Alot of people want some uniformity in the scales (myself included) so making the Minis makes sense as long as they're the same scale as the Revoltechs before them. Hope that helps.

  3. Heh, i don't know what to say. I actually really like it as well. Initially i thought it was the stupidest thing on TV when it was announced and the first episode left alot to be desired, but i've seen about 2 other episodes since and it's really grown on me. The animation is awesome if you know you're 8 Bit video game history and the episodes are odd, but not more so than say Aqua Teen or Sealab, so it's easy enough to get into if you can see past the animation.

  4. Don't expect the preorders for another month or so.

Pictures of the new mold aren't even out yet.

As much as i hate to admit it, I just know that one or more of the paint schemes is going to end up being a Friend-shop exclusive or some crap like that. It's just too easy not to do it. 3 VF-1S Paint Schemes, 3 VF-1J Paint Schemes, Countless 1A paint schemes. The question though... is which one will it be and how much is completing the set worth to someone. <_<

  5. You got some of the details wrong, but ya, that is the only good AVP version out there (the game was fun, but not a good story, the movie was terrible...if it existed, which it didn't)

I figured i might have (it's been years since i read it last), i know i was leaving some stuff out not to give away too much of the story, but looking over it... i don't know... Was it why the Predators were following the Aliens? Or?

  6. ?! This is the first time that this topic has appeared on my radar map... all I can say is: why can't they rip off the story from the first Dark Horse comics series that did the Aliens vs. Predator thing? That was the only good AvsP that I've read and seen since then!

Personally I think it's the lack of elements from the Alien series of films that ruins these projects...

Yes sir! That would have been the most logical thing to do IMO. I remember as a kid spending $25.00 (that was like all my money at the time, heh) on the whole set of AvP comics (4 Issues) when they first came out way back when. What a great story that was. If anyone hasn't read it, i def. and wholeheartedly recommend it.

Basically a group of Predators (most of them young and untrained) are hot on the heels of an Alien Queen and her brood as part of their rite of passage into full fledged Warriors and/or Hunters. The Alien ship crash lands on some distant Human Ranching/Mining Colony and they run amok. Meanwhile the Predator ship crash lands soon after with a number of the Predators dead and/or seriously injured including the most Senior Warrior/Hunter (The Instructor). The remaining Predators proceed to hunt down the Aliens and anything else that gets in their way and you get the idea. Don't want to give away the Good Stuff. Read it and wonder why in the world they didn't use this as a direct source material for the first Movie. If they did it seriously would have given Aliens the Movie a run for its money in regards to how good it could have been and i'm not making that up.

  7. There were bootlegs of those released not long ago.

TFW2005.com has a pic of the back of Skywarp's box. There is a third seeker pictured on it which might be Thundercracker.

Just about to post that here as well. As for the pictures of the third seeker, it's gotta be Thundercracker. The left is most likely Starscream due to the more realistic colors and the top right is actually more of a bluish hue... :D I hope we get some kind of confirmation and pics. soon.

  8. So what exactly does this mean? Will there be a yet unseen, limited Strike Valk in addition to the Super Valk we have seen? Or is the Super Valk the limited version, while the Roy and Hikaru versions be the standard release?

I'm going to have to believe that the Strike Valks the VF-1S and possibly VF-1A are going to be the limited editions, if anything. They might still be standard releases, just maybe in different colors. Like a Roy VF-1S might be a standard release, but a Max VF-1S might be a friend shop exclusive or something along those lines. They've done it before with Prime (Standard Release) and Magnus (Limited Edition) and also with the Dougram Solutics, Green (Standard), Blue (Limited), so it's highly possible.

  9. Wasn't Hasbro suppose to re-issue/re-image the Seacon combiner team at some point the last couple of years? Maybe under the old TF Universe line?

If i remember correctly they were going to release a repaint Seacon set (that IMO looked horrible compared to the original or even the Beast Wars Second "God Neptune", but besides the point), and yes it was to be under the TF Universe line, but those plans were scrapped a while back i think due to the overall demise of the Universe line itself and the fact that they were having a hard time finding a retailer for them? It's been so long so i don't remember all the details, but yeah basically i doubt it's ever going to see the light of day now.

    *EDIT

Heh, Wikipedia has a rundown of what happened at least partially.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seacons

  10. I voted for Mirage myself. Never forget the episode where he snuck aboard the Decepticon's shuttle and committed some "Sabotage!".

    *MOVIE SPOILER*

I can't say that i'm not worried that if he makes it into the sequel (which based on the current numbers is nigh impossible) his appearance will be something akin to Jazz's in the first movie and he'll die for no other reason than to prove as a lesson to the Autobot's mortality.

    <_<

  11. cool vf-1j figure, i'll probably pick one of thoses up.

btw, does anyone know a good place online to get the optimus prime and megatron revoltech figures? trying to find a good deal online for them. =]

Hmm, bbts had prime the other day, but it looks like he's on backorder now. :(

    http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/menu.aspx?menu=898

I'd hate to say it man, but your best bet just might be eBay at this point, since most of the other online stores that have him are way over MSRP.

  12. Does anybody knows how tall this is? I'm tempted to get one to see if I can salvage some things for my Toynami 1/100, like the hands or maybe some joints :)

Can't really say just yet mate, but i figure if it's in scale with the other revoltech releases so far it'll be around 5" to 6".

  13. Just wait till it was released and it don't look as nice as the promotional pictures. Given the history of Revotech releases, it will happen.

The promotional pictures of any toy/model/figure are going to look phenomenal since they have to use those pictures to convince ppl. to buy them, but that doesn't mean the toy is going to look radically different than what they show in the pictures. At least not for revoltech.

Anyways, thanks to those pics. i'm more than a believer now. I've got pretty much all of the Revoltechs released so far and i'm not disappointed in any of them, except for maybe the amount of accessories some come with compared to others, but otherwise, the line hasn't failed me yet.
