  3. Preorder it on HLJ (if it's a limited release, I don't want to miss it)

But who has more infos about the dimensions of the figure (maybe according to other limited figure of the same editor ?) and about the manga ? (it follows "Last order", number of pages ? ....). Don't find anything that can helps on HLJ.

  4. Is it just me or does the VF-1A/J/S seem small compared to the VF-0 and YF-19?

I know that the design of the VF-1 is much older than the other two, but when you put all three 72nd scale kits along side each other (one of these things doesn't belong here) comes to mind. The VF-1 looks like it's 1/90 scale or something. Not to mention it looks downright low tech compared to the others as well. I guess that's the problem with prequals.

I'd be happy if Hasegawa just upscaled all of their Macross kits to 1/48.

The VF 1 scale is well 1/72. Really tiny compared to the VF 0, it's true.... But not the same time, different technology. See your Ipod with an old discman or walkman ^_^

Hasegawa sucks with all those repaint schemes (fortunaly there are the box arts of Hidetaka). It could be easy for them without spend a lot of money on molds and other things to propose a gerwalk version of the VF 1 / VF 0 / YF 19... (and why not a battroid of the last one !)

How many times they will wait ?!!!!

  5. Hey there The Shade, I was orginally getting torrents of Mac7 but I have done some digging and found a site with direct downloads of all 49 episodes with fansubs. (you have to register but its free and okay as far as i can tell) give it a try.

    http://www.anime-eden.com/page/anime/macross7/series.html

    quality is quite good considering.

Thanks for the link. There is music too for some anime.... Easy to use. ^_^

  6. Received the 2 kits today. Really nice boxarts. The kits are well .... like the other ones. No differences.

The gold decals are really shiny. Pretty diificult to apply on the YF 19, I'm sure.

For the VF 1. The colors for the pilot are blue for the uniform and silver for the helmet. I don't know if there is any mention of squadron ???

  7. Heheh... remember in SDF:M there was a short segment where Minmay was doing photoshoots for the UN Spacy, wearing a uniform? Most likely for something like recruiting posters or even ship-broadcasted ads.

The part was where she was dressed in a uniform, sanding next to a VF-1A, saluting.

He... That's true.. Thanks. I should see at new this episode. Don't remember it was the same color uniform...

  8. By the way, I watched Macross Zero all over again these past couple of days. I still don't appreciate the story but love the action sequence and the CG used (although, I do sense my stomach tingling with too much CG and less "anime"). I noticed the predecessors of the "Defenders" that appear in Zero. Anyone thought of making these to go with the VF-0 or Sr-51 valks or battroids?

M0 destroid.... Hmmm. Good idea. One more in the wish list !

  9. The problem is not a lack of will on my behalf to produce new models, but rather a lack of demand for certain subjects. From my own personal experience, demand becomes rather fragmented whenever I try to deviate from the designs of the original SDF: MACROSS, and to be honest, I find many of the designs in the spinoff series to be rather weak and unattractive.

That having been said, I can also only produce so many models in a given period of time, since I have other obligations. Further, I feel that I'm already producing models faster than most people can earn the $$ to afford them, so I'll likely be offering fewer models in '08, and I have at least 2 subjects in mind that will be limited release. By "limited", I mean a production run of roughly half of what I make now

Don't worry. The regult scout is enough for the moment (I didn't think to see a day this version in 1/72 scale. I also think to my wallet...).

We just need to dream !

  10. Yeah a N-Ger DYRL version would be a Grail kit to me. I am just guessing that in 1/72 it would be big, heavy, and costly..

The movie version is really better than the serie version in my opinion. It shouldn't be more heavy (and costly) than the regult or the Q-Rau...

  11. I believe Valk009 already has that project in the pipeline soon after the 1/72 VF-4 he is offering this week.

I personally would like to see another run of the VF-11 in fighter mode that I missed out from Valkyrie.

Captain, how about any of Glaug, Q-Rau, Dragon, Cat's Eye etcs?

Yes, why not a Dragon (I don't think it would be difficult to cast / "recast " ?!)

I have never seen a Nousjadeul Ger in 1/72 scale. This will be a nice add...

  12. but i wondering whats the fast packs works for?

it looks like a communication system that the valk carry

    any idea for this?

Maybe. It doesn't look offensive ...

See the S type head . Is it possible in this position ? (as for the SV 51 !)

  13. Aside from in-joke valks the creators were probably thinking about what would happen realistically.

Think about what happens in Iraq. Users customise and "uparmor" their humvees, AFVs and tanks to the mission. They might canabalise other vehicles and equipment, take parts from destroyed or damaged vehicles. Also consider that weapons and equipment in the military go through a lot of prototyping and testing.

Now consider that the Macross and Earth were facing a vastly numerically superior enemy and every man and machine was needed to fight. Every warhead and bullet mattered.

So basically it makes sense that in the final battle for Earth a lot of planes had been modified to carry more ordanance and all available aircraft (including a prototype VFER) had been launched into the fight.

I agree. It's so evident as for every wars.

One of my project is to build a valk with a lot of weathering, replacement and canibalized parts. A real war plane in fact like some german fighters at the end of WWII : Bf 109 G or K, Fw 190D... sometimes with tails, fuselage and wings with different camo and paint due to the different manufacturers, some parts without any paint... Really cool scheme for me.

Or with "rust" and weathering like the planes on the pacific theater (almost japanese)

  14. As for the first pic that looks abit like the Dark Valk as discussed in anothe thread at the mo.

The second one I have some line art in one of my books showing a Valk with misiles atached to the tail fins in fighte rmode.

Do you have a picture or the reference of the book ? I only have this picture:

    missiletails.jpg

  15. I've got had the Matchbox/Robotech diecast MkII Monster primered and ready for some detailing for about 20 years now. It's part of my long ( really long ) range plan for wargaming Macross in 1/200 scale. I'm not sure of it's exact scale but it was the closest I could get to a 1/200 monster back in the day. I suppose somebody was probably done a garage kit by now.

    I think it's like approx. 1/248 scale...

  16. Don't you think the radome of the VEFR is the same of the elint ?

I like a lot the one with the green radome. Great for sure with a VEFR-1 or a VE-1. But about the part on the right (half green): is it round like a ball or a circle like a plate ? Difficult to see from front.

  17. THANKS!!!! :)

    appreciate that jipe :)

the 3rd valkyrie, is cool design, i like valk with all those radome, now i have verf-1 and that one, i want to try to do some custom :)

the first pic, looks like SU-27 flanker, does it?

the 2nd picture, looks like f-15 in the gobots series, bulky and not nice

but the last picture, is it something like bomber? see the wings, it carrying a lot of rockets there...

A Flanker in space, I don't think. For the first, we can see those 8 white things ? ... but where are the tails and the legs ?

For the last, well... maybe one arm on the left side... A valk into transformation ?

But that's certainly only animation mistakes... Think to the guy who was drawing all those boring Valk on the picture !!!

Another one for your custom (from TIA 3 page 98):

    Copie_de_TIA3_p98.jpg

  18. There are other strange valks on this poster (discussed in an other topic a long time ago). I don't know if there is the one that sketchley is talking about.

I would like to have the time to scratch and built some of those ones....

    TIA7_poster5.jpg a veteran ? without legs and tails !

TIA7_poster3.jpg with (supposed) missiles on the tails (there are another picture of this model somewhere)

TIA7_poster4.jpg a really cool one (don't know the name. Anyone has an idea ?)

    TIA7_poster2.jpg ???!!!
