Armour parts goodness.

Hmmmm. Not sure if I should re-order the one I cancelled (was going to change the shipping address but now I don't know if I should, CDJ policies :X).
It happened to me last time. I just email NY about the change of address and they charged me the difference in shipping.

I still kinda want an Ozma in EXGear.
I might get one more Alto ex-gear and paint it to Ozma colour.
-
Good info. Btw does this means the fins on the VTOL part not touch the bottom?
-
If you missed something, so did I. I was tried to get it in that same pose when I was taking pics. I was able to get the tail support extension to touch the ground when foot extension was collapsed into the leg. Judging from this pic, it appears the torso is rotated towards the back a bit.
Great pose!!
Thanks Saburo. That's a big compliment coming from great photographer. Also I tried collapsing the legs as well but it looks funny short.
So how are those wing hinges feeling in Battroid without the extra missile pods and attachments for the intakes?
The hinges feel sturdy even when the pods and intake covers on. Time will tell when the wing hinges will become loose and crack from the stress put on them. The VTOL parts stays firm in this mode as well.
-
I tried the above pose but pulling the front and back closer together and achieved at putting the tail to the bottom. Bandai should have added extra length to the tail extension. Transformed mine to Battroid.
Dynamic pose.

Did I missed something? In this photo the tail touch the bottom. Maybe I need to pull down the shoulder hinge further to achieve this.

The Tornado parts certainly do look very cool especially in fighter mode. From what I can see due to the top heavy nature of these parts, having the 25 mounted on a display stand is gonna be a requirement if posed in gerwalk or battroid modes.. Gotta say though after getting the armored parts for Ozma (which I really love) I think I'll give buying anymore of these big add part sets a miss. I even canceled the Michael supers I had ordered..
The battroid mount with this kit is a little unstable due to the added weight. Not forgetting the stress on the wings hinges. It will need added support. Bandai should have included one.

So I transformed it to Battroid today. The back is definitely heavy much like the armour parts. Without the stand, it will not stay up properly. The tail is too short to act as a tripod. A lot of stress on the wing hinge in this mode so mine will be in fighter or gerwalk until I find something to support the back.
Hip bracket. Helps to keep the crotch thrust forward but that's it.
I tried to use the built in gun pod holder but the gun touch the bottom of the stand holder and the whole thing does not sit properly because of this.
After much effort to make it stand on its own, the best way is just to put it on the stand. So the crotch bracket included is not much use (for me).
The too short tail.
Dynamic pose based on the 1/72 box cover minus the missile pods and VTOL intake covers.

If they reissue the armor parts, I hope they would also make the wing support bracket in Battroid mode and maybe the hip as well to handle those leg armours on the stand.

Thank you Scream Man.

And it has arrive folks. the installation should be easy but made slightly difficult due to the size of the parts. Weight is more or less like the armour parts. I have no plan to transform it again due to the bigger parts. Installation is done in GERWALK mode so I can transform it back fighter easily.
Again the fighter mode should be fine in long period due to the added support pegs from the wing part to the leg armour. The gun bracket is a bit short and the gun can easily fall off. Due to the gap between the arms in fighter mode, I just pegged in the bracket to just one hand.
The parts. The additional brackets are put in a plastic bag and tapped behind.
The before and after installation of the VTOL part.
The wing peg for support and fitting.
The too short gun pod bracket.
Tornado and YF29 comparison.

Hopefully mine arrive today. I will display it without the missile pod and the wing thruster covers. The SD one I have does not have those on it.

Why are you guys getting payment requests now when it isn't released until the 9th of next month?
Anyway I'm not worried regarding my pre-order with CD Japan.
Final payment request is due by 6th August. I paid early in hope that those who pay first get their item packed and ship early. Can't wait for the Tornado parts to arrive tomorrow.

Got payment request this morning from NY. £150 lighter and not even payday yet.

Low demand and high tooling cost. Need to offset a little for profitability. And inflation also affect material cost.
-
I keep mine in cyclop (face shield) mode as well.
-
Wow, never realized how big the Tornado was til it was shown on the stand. That's gotta be as big as an armored variant. Sweet, this looks even better to me. Hopefully the damn thing holds together...
I'm afraid Tornado is bigger. Here is my 1/72 scale for comparison.

I have a friend who collects those figs, they are pretty cool.
I believe this is the second figure/ statue made after Rockin Jelly Bean arts. Look it up on googles. Very pretty 60's style arts.

I just got my shipping notification too, but not from Sideshow. What are you getting from Sideshow?
Rockin Jellybean Mystique. I missed out on their Invisible Girl last time and the price now skyrocketed.
-
NY just shipped mine.
I got shipping notification today from NY. I also got shipping notification from Sideshow.
-
I wonder how those leg armours are attached. If they were to support the weight of the back, they better be secured well. I am hoping for this kind of bracket for the Armored Parts in Battroid mode.
-
I got email as well. Preparation in progress. Shipped by FedEx.

finally caved in and bought it.......the 4 different length display stick thingy for the back pack confuses the hell outta me. but it's well.......i would not say that i regret the purchase the paintjob detail and finishing is quite nice.....the pose though, could have been a LOT better.
Congrates!

Yes Chronos as well. But if you have extra space and money get the YF-25.
