Can the lions move their legs out in an A stance? It looks like some of them have a little of that going on.
Yeah George pointed out their haunches unlock so they can angle their legs outward. They snap back in place for limb mode.

They're using repaints to diversify the combiners so retailers don't have to stock four identical jet guys per wave.
Granted retailers don't seem to want to stock anything but that's why I just use online shops.

I dunno if anyone here is interested in something this esoteric, but I made a little adapter for MP-22's cab so he can haul MP-10's trailer. It's just a single piece being sold on my Shapeways store. Feel free to move this post if it belongs in the third party thread.

Here's the video from their show room if you want to see more angles.

The minute those 3D printed lions have as many eye blinding spring loaded missiles as the original Chogokin GoLion I will consider them fully featured toys and I will pre-order it. God I loved shooting crap with all those missiles, especially the tiny red ones....
I should have clarified. George Sohn was emphasizing the lions as fully featured action figures and touted how they studied real lions to give the Voltron team a much better range of motion rather than sacrificing their articulation for the combined mode. I'm not sure if they are planning to have shooty gimmicks.
On another note, the guys at the Bluefin Tamashii booth had some intentionally vague things to say about the subject of this thread. Take that for what it's worth but I can't say more because they didn't either.

If you see pictures of one of the lions sitting down, it's because I asked George Sohn to do that and he thought it was a great idea lol
The big thing he told us is that this Voltron emphasizes the lions as fully featured toys on their own.
Here's our gallery from the showroom.

JoshB and I met with George Sohn in the Toynami show room at Toy Fair. We chatted for about an hour and he explained the new toys cost more because of increased prices for plastic versus what they were almost a decade ago. Also he wanted to change the toy so as not to interfere with the individual numbering of the original run and preserve their value. George said that Harmony Gold asked him to do another run of Mospeada toys for the RT 30th.

(Because the Power of Rock is always serious.)
Fukuyama respects Basara as a serious artist.

Shapeways should only make the right hinges now.
The arm armor is just a replacement part in case you don't have yours. -

For those not familiar with Machine Robo: Revenge of Chronos, this episode has a lot of the guys who are getting new toys like Eagle, Blackbird, Jet, Drill, and Shuttle. Jet and Drill were main characters while the rest were just bit parts.

This guy seems excited and he should be since Thomas Romain has been working with Satelight for years now.

That's actually Experten's VF-4 kit as it has landing gear while the SHE kit did not. He put up build instructions on his website.

I have to fix the right arm hinge because shapeways messed up again. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Let me know if shapeways does something wrong and makes a three part right hinge because they aren't using the most up to date file.
-
So I got the test sample and it works great. I beefed up the edge with the hinge holes just to be safe though.
Here is the right side (tested)

And here is the left side (untested but it should work)

I'll be doing my own Ride of the Valkyries panel this year and I'll also be on the All the Mecha You'll Ever need panel.
