  1. This Project garnered some intrest. just look at the cash pledge======>

Potential is there for RA. Thought I agree with others webepisodes is the way to go. I do want to see what this story is about and ideas going into it. Let Cesar team handle CG. to me it looks cool enough for it to continue. Who knows, maybe later like Halo and Galactica webepisodes can be sold for distribution in one collection DVD.

    Potential? What?

Why is this guy so delusional?

  2. I'm just glad I don't have any interest in Hot Toys... It would be game over for sure :p

    Macross figmas...

Oh yeah, if MaxFactory did a macross figma line, I would buy them ALL, pre-order day 1 on all of them.

Hot Toys are way way way over my budget. As I find even the most recent figma released already expensive.

A Hot Toy price tag plus 60% import taxes (hue land here), truly impossible for me.

  3. Ah! Make it stop! My wallet can't take it... Between Bandai, Arcadia/Yamato, and Max Factory -- to name a few -- I'll end up in the poor house... :(^_^B))

You collect too much stuff, I choose to buy only figma.

The sad part is the lack of any Macross figma. I had to hold myself over the Sheryl nendo.

  4. I wonder if the guy who paid the 10,000 pledge isn't actually a troll who will withdraw the last minute.

Because if it is not, I really don't get how can some Robotech fans have all this faith in Harmony Gold, can't they just think a little and realize what made Robotech good (for them, not for me as I saw Macross PT-BR dub on TV with original songs in JP) was the original shows. Harmony Gold has no talent or whatsoever to make anything by their own.

Also 500,000 to make a 24 minute shitty quality pilot. While studio trigger asked 150,000 to do a top tier quality animation.

  5. lol, i was quoted.

Now akt_m on Macrossworld thinks I'm keeping Robotech fans "in denial" of something even though my latest posts are critical of them and refer to information in a pinned thread on Macrossworld. I have no idea what any of these people are talking about anymore. English as a second language might explain some but not all of it.

But Seina actually posted something that can make any hardcore Robotech fan angry.

This means that Harmony Gold does not own the Macross characters to include in Robotech II: The Sentinels unless it's some kind of merchandise like a book, comic, or game. Each thing that would be in it would have to have a new name and a new design so it doesn't infringe. So when they say "Rick Hunter" is back, they mean it. It's not going to be Hikaru Ichijo with the name Rick Hunter. It's their own made up character. Harmony Gold cannot animate the Sentinels you people are imagining, so stop asking.

This is exactly the subject that everyone inside Harmony Gold avoids to answer properly, why no more "Rick Hunter" the same way all the fans remember in "The Macross Saga"?

  6. That's weird... it looks like someone pulled their money out. It went down by $30 over the last hour... I wonder if they're starting to try to kick the critics out. You could almost understand them doing it, since today's "big reveal" at SDCC was (reportedly) that they went and found some vanity press company to print the Robotech Academy artbook backer reward. Not a lot of ways to polish that turd.

Kicktraq's prediction actually went up 1% thanks to that guy who chipped in a few grand to get to the $10k tier yesterday, though it's still sitting at a mere 64% and looks like it'll start trending back down unless there's a surge day tomorrow.

SideKick's hit an all-time low for its prediction of this getting funded, a whopping 7% chance of success.

In my opinion, the Robotech Academy KS still have a huge chance of success.

If you get some of the hardcore robotech.com members, there are like three or two of them?

All of them have two kidneys and they only need one to survive.

  7. Nope, 2nd GIG's outfit was much more tactical, all dark gray. This looks almost like her "I just wear this to appear minimally decent in public" outfit that you see in the CGI opening to the first season. But the shirt Is different, and the jacket isn't open, so I don't know where this was seen.

Edit: Looks like this, but I'm not sure what episode this is.

2nd gig DVD cover (same outfit as the figma).
