  1. I'm really really really interested!! One of the cannon had broken off and have been seeking a replacement ever since!! Please keep me posted on how much are the recast. THX in advance.. Appciated!!

    PS> probably gona get 2 :)

  2. Another Casualty here!

My MPC arrive nicely, from Kevin from Vlk-exchange. (Great place to buy). I transform it once from plane to robot mode. After in robot mode, I've notice the right arm's elbow joint wasn't able to turn left nor right. Then I re-check the other side and it was fine. I finally figure out that they put the arm joint in backwards. Below is a pic borrow from above to point out what I'm talking about. Do anybody know how to take the arm apart? Any help will be appciated! Honestly when I first handle the alpha, it felt like a toy from Wal-Mart. Other than the heavty weight.. I hate to say i'm just gona give it a "fair" grade and for sure not $80 worth. The robot mode sure is nice, but the flight mode is rather trouble with the landing gear as other had posted. Anyway.. any help would be appciated! THX in advance.

  3. Vermillion One is already on the list I believe, but I just like to mention that the transaction with him went great. I brought a VF-1S Max with FP from him and they are exactly what I've expected and describe. Just would like to mention him for future reference. Good day.

    L,

  4. You'll see THIS screen if you play your cards right.

    HAHAHA!

So what does it means?? To all those who didn't get it. :(

    THX in advance,.

    L,

Once you unlock Kakizaki's VF-1A choose that and start ARMD's FIFTH LEVEL (I think).

    SPOILERS.

Anyway. It's the level where you fight above Protoculture Island. But, if you choose Kakizaki then you get killed RIGHT before the mission starts (to stay true to DYRL).

No points. No mission ranking. Just one dead Hayao.

The picture is the CONTINUE screen (with some music from DYRL in the background). I shed a tear everytime......

    Ah... Hu ha ha..

  5. Sega AM-2 Macross Ps2

I just really want to know the moves durring game play.

I don't know how to do a belly roll durring plane and the walker mode.  I've accidentally done it a couple of time, but I couldn't duplicated the move over.  I wonder if someone could give me some hints on that.  Also, when you use your head laser to shoot down enemy missle durring robot mode, where do you aim (or look at for a lock?)  I try using L1 to lock on it but all I got is the enemy and no missle.  THX in advance..

    L,

To roll, press and hold right, then press left quickly (or vice versa)

Also, about shooting the missiles down, just press and hold the head lasers button and they should shoot the missiles down automatically.

Thx for the Tips, will try it tonight. ..

I do argree that the walker mode really sucks in this game(PS2).. and the control was kinda restrictive ... I love the control on the Robotech Battle Cry (Xbox) the degree of freedom is higher but the graphics wasn't as good and sharp (Cartoonish) as the PS2 DYRL. I just wish the next one comes out will have the best of the 2 games. (Control + Graphics). Also, What's so special about that screens?? Posted above?? Partern me for not learning Japanese while I was a kid ;)

  8. Ladies & Gens,

Let me be the 1st to post a Review here, (it's my 1st review so the critique might be below par a bit)

1st these are pretty old games (~2000-01) but fun to play with.

Macross VO came out 1st then later comes Macross VOXP (fix version)

There's pretty much very minor difference that you will able to notice between the two.

    Requirement:

It require a PII 200 and 64 rams to run it, and or course some HD room (~100megs). If you got a badass video card it will be even better (the valk will look sharper and the explosion will look brighter).. I run it on my labtop: PII 266 with 96ram seems OK and no crash problem. It does require the CD to play durring game play (unless you got a crack for it).

    Differences:

    1) Macross VOXP have rearrange the beginning animation , only rearrange no more or less.

    2) Macross VOXP have a bunch of bugs fix, ex. better hit & miss count, fix pixel problem, window XP run time problem and more.

    3) Joystick control option in Macross VOXP enable you to pick every key as option which VO doesn't.

    4) Better network play in VOXP then VO (crash quite often when too many ppl are playing ~6ppl)

    5) VOXP also have 2 add on skin for your game play. (VF-1D & VT-1 'Super Ostrich' )

    6) "Flare" option durring game play to dodge enemy missles.

    Similarities:

    1) Pretty much the same game, VOXP just a bug fix verison for windows XP with some add on.

    2) Same amount of levels and graphics

For those who's planning on getting the PC game, just get the VOXP and forget about the VO. 1st it run better with less crash and problem with windows. 2nd with more option which is easier for game play.

So far the only place you are able to get these games are in either MIRC, Bitorre or on the net somewhere. So don't freak out if you couldn't get yours, just be patient and use that "SEARCH" key.

Here's a link below that can pretty much explain everything that's in-game in english. You can also download new skin here too. ***YOU CAN FIND THE CONTROLS HERE TOO!!!***

    (** EDIT **)

    Or MW link here

    http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?...opic=6412&st=20

    As for the game play,

I like it, it's fast action game play and it's fun to see all those missle flying around doing their fast zig-zag on screen (multi target lock was fun). Not to mention using the gun-pod to shoot down enemy missle sure is fun. For those who plan on getting it, you won't regreat all the waiting while downloading.

I will give it a 8/10 since it's old, the story is kinda short and missions is kinda repeatative but I recomment this game for those who's looking for something to stimulate your mind quickly after a long day of work.

Almost forgot, Difficulty:..It does have 3 difficulty setting EASY, NORMAL & HARD.

As for me "lets just say I beat the game on one sitting when I 1st got it" (~1hr in Normal level)..

I hope I've answer some of your questions and good day,

    L,

PS. Here's some game play pic to browse (below)

  9. Very impressive indeed! Kudos to you!

    Just have some minor comments,

I do understand the difficult of making the leg unit slim with that wing tip sticking out(from the leg area). Is that the slimest you can get it to look?? Just curious, cause it look a bit too chuncky by the leg area..kinda pop right out fromt the picture (may be i'm just picky) ;) And the shoulder missle pod kind a elavated? (it will look great if you can lower it to the chest area... )

the gun pod looks impressive indeed. Keep up the good work..

    here's my 2 cens

    L,

  10. Sony only started hiring programmers to code their PS1 and 2 emulator for the PS3 less than a year ago, so the console is far from being ready for roll out. Sony is only dropping the price of the PS2 to $149.99 so as not to be the most expensive console on the market. Don't worry, go ahead and buy a PS2. It will last you a few years before the PS3 comes out.

BTW, if you are thinking about putting a mod chip in it, don't. Due to a class action lawsuit, Sony has settled and are now offering free repairs on any PS2 that has the infamous Disc Read Error problem. This offer is good regardless of your PS2's warranty status (if you bought yours upon launch you can still get it repaired if you're only experiencing DRE problems now) but they do not repair modified PS2s.

Jollly,Does the new PS2 (in the market now) have the problem fix? Cause I was planning on buying a HK PS2 (with mod, new) and usually they are pretty good at it..(I got my mod box from my last trip).. cause their selection of games just blow the competition away .. and my box is dusting up quit a bit..

    THX

    L,

  11. Well, not exactly on the topic here, but does anyone know anything about a new PS3? Like when will they be releasing it?? Cause I'm planning on buying a PS2 soon, then I've heard something about a new one coming.. and ponder about which one to get... THX

    L,

  12. I do an ebay search for Megazone 23 DVD, and all I get are hits for KITE.

I search online, and all I find are RightStuf pre-orders for the upcoming ADV release.

Seems ADV must really be cracking down on the boots, because this time last year, they were everywhere.

I'm looking for the HK version that had all three movies in a two disc set. There was one with this hideous bright yellow cover that was supposedly the best one to get.

I did find this one, anyone know of it's quality?

    http://www.animetoysonline.com/index.cfm?f...product_id=1811

Tha's a bit pricy,.. I got mine off ebay for 18 bucks with S/H, you might want to be a bit more patient to get that DVDs, cause I found the HK verison on and off sometimes.. check within a week, I bet you will find one. Also, my box are different from that but I'm sure it's the HK verison. The quality are good, no complain. Hope this help,

    L,

    1) Mr. Color Thinner

    2) Tamiya color thinner

Or can anybody suggest some substitude for them? (Which can buy from local store?)

    THX in advance!!

    L,

  15. Admin, I hope I post this at the right area,

I read this through another board and wish to let everyone know about the trouble dealer and beware!

Beware when dealing with Iron Gear Foundry

    AKA xerogeeII on this board.

Back in December 2003 I pre-ordered the 1/72 Ex-S from XeroGravity or Iron Gear Foundry (IGF) as it is known now (I noticed he also solicited it here too http://www.heavyarmourstudio.com/cgi-bin/y...ard=englishG;ac tion=display;num=1073971391). At the time the ETA was end of February 2004. Then changed to mid-March 2004. By early April it was "give me 15 more days". Well, I got tired of the excuses and delays and requested a full refund. He asked for a week to process the refund because I caught him "...at a bad time and I have to make rent". So I gave me more than 10 days and get another broken promise. I immediately disputed all the charges with my credit card company. To my surprise a few days later a package containing nothing I ordered arrived from IGF with a tracking number. You guessed it. He responsed to the dispute by claiming the item ordered with delivered. This is the fraud that is IGF's business practice now.

But I'm not the only one he is defrauding nowadays. IGF is also known as garagekitman on eBay. Here is an example of his shill bids on one of his listings using his late brother's eBay ID (Tony Garcia, order_of_melchizedek). http://offer.ebay.com/ws3/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi...item=3183505306 If you read the feedbacks for order_of_melchizedek and note the one on 10/31/03, you can tell the fraud that is going on now.

I have no doubt my credit card company will reimburse me. I just want to warn GK buyers of the fraudulent practices that goes on at IGF (garagekitman on eBay).

I've also seen this person sell Macross stuff too, so beware!

  16. Just in my opinion, if you want to strip paint don't use chemical. unless you are fimilar with the specific chemical, because if you don't know what you are using or experience using it, you might end up ruinning the piece and have to sand it afterwards to retore the damage. It's true, it's better to just strip the paint away and then paint on it, but it's a lot of risk you will have to take for the chemical which might be eating away the top coat of the plastic or yet melting it (soften it). The safest way to do it (if it's your 1st time doing it) is to use a very high grid sand paper (go up to 400 if you are really not sure) sand the specific area away. Unless you want to strip all the paint off a piece, then I would recommend using chemical. And the chemical of choice I pick is cleaning solution 409, it's the mildest out there that I can find. You put your piece in the solution (probably over night and use a USED tooth brush gently brush off if there's paint left. Good luck with your mod.
