I voted negative for both the panty chasing episode and also the tori no hito one. Panty chasing episode was pointless. In fact, the whole arc of Sheryl and Ranka joining alto's school was pointless as well. Sheryl joining the school served no purpose at all except to have a plot device to pilot Michel's VF-25. I would've preferred it if they spent just 1 episode on how life on campus is like with Alto, Sheryl and Ranka instead of panty chasing. And hydra felt really tacked on and out of place....and the animation of these 2 episodes.....don't get me started.

Which guy and how he got blown away? Someone made a model diorama of that and its featued in one of the hobby magazine.

There are many casualties in the world of Macross. Some pretty brutal, some pretty sad, some pretty pointless, and some pretty GAR. List your favourites here. Mine: Most violent: 1.) civilian who gets his head decapitated by falling pillar - DYRL: in SDF-1 during the final battle. 2.) falling torso of assasin - M Frontier: his lower half got eaten/decapitated by vajra in ep 20. Most hilarious: - Frontier security forces got death-hugged by vajra - M Frontier: He gave out a girly scream as the Vajra hugged him. The badly animated segment makes it funnier as it looked like he did nothing much to stop the vajra from hugging him. Most GAR: - Michel... - M Frontier: "Klan...anata ga aishite....." - Gigil - M7: Died protecting Sivil. Pretty GAR to me. Most pointless: - Ramaria - M Frontier : "AUGHHHH!!" - eh ramaria who? - Physica (sp?) - M7: Death flag waved...then died in same episode...uhhh what's the point?

Misaforever: I wished you'd stop telling ppl to "shut up" if they have some criticism for the show. I think they are valid to an extent and your suggestion that their criticism makes them lesser fans is kind of demeaning. Criticism gives a more accurate view of the show and promotes improvement rather than bias and blind fanboy praise. Just thought i get that off my chest.

But with frontier i kinda accepted it and gave up.

So i was at my friend's place playing game demos on his PS3 and one of them was Armored Core: For Answer. I saw the awesome promo trailers for it but can't help but feel kinda disappointed with the game. The demo game had your mech in a cinematic-like sequence flying towards a gigantic mobile weapons platform. The mech now feels very much more agile and stays mostly off the ground jumping dodging while firing its weapons. The demo was really laggy especially when you are making your way up the mech. I no idea what i was supposed to do cuz i was firing randomly at turrets but i think the idea is sorta like a mech version of Shadow of Collosus? So i've never played much of the old AC games but isn't AC supposed to be a japanese version of clunky mechwarrior-like mechs? This new game sorta made AC feel like an arcade/puzzle shooter and it wasn't even engaging enough...or maybe i can't read japanese and didn't have a clue on what i was supposed to do. Thoughts?

Ditto. The water gliding one was especially well done! I wished these things were longer. Btw we haven't seen the scene which is shown in almost every beginning of every frontier episode, where the VF-25s let loose a colourful cloud and break formation.

Ranka who was in vacuum for a short period of time in episode 2 assured Alto she was alright when Alto asked if her eardrums are ok. She said she was 1/4 Zentran so she was totally fine....which shows Zentrans macro/micloned still have vacuum resistance.

Probably there's no way to create a miniaturised version of the ECA which makes things in Macross impervious to conventional weapons. I wouldn't think too hard about it. And as for the Vajra, they probably locked on to Ranka's "song of death" despite the Frontier jumping in a safe zone where the Vajra won't follow them to or the Vajra on the Frontier relayed the location to the reinforcements. Why they can be shot....shrug.
