My non-traditional table centerpiece:

Best part of all, it looks like they figured out how to tampo the skulls on the tail fins straight.
-Kyp
That's a huge selling point for me.
-
We gotta get'em first!
OO
I know a bunch more people got theirs today.

-
I need to quit clicking on this thread. Makes me want to not look at my VF-0S.
-
thanks bud, the custom looks great, so much like a su-27
You're welcome. Check out the MW Customs gallery on the main site for some cool stuff; however, it's not up-to-date -- there's a bunch of cool customs that haven't been added; use the search function.

Zeppy, since you're new, you might want to check out this custom SV-51 toy:
-
i wish lol, i was just browsin google images and came across it, never though sv-51 would look this good outside of the flat black color
Looks like a model kit.
-
Wow! Is this one yours? Not sure it belongs in the Toys forum, though.

This seems as good a thread as any to ask this: how does one achieve the Moa_is_happy_with_you ending to M3?

I don't have a valk yet and I was actually thinking of owning only one Macross figure since I really collect Optimus Primes. I researched thoroughly and rewatched the SDF Macross Saga and I thought that the best valk to own if you'll only be gunning for one would be Yamato's 1/48 VF-1S Roy Fokker (either the regular of the weathered edition) with Super and Strike Parts. Along with Hikky's VF-1J, this is the most iconic of the series which, even after Fokker's death, saw action all throughout. I was actually about to buy one until I saw the upcoming 1/60 V2 with FAST Packs included. The FAST packs for the 1/48 are hard to come by lately in my country, then after watching Macross Frontier and looking at the 1/60 Bandai VF-25's, I've decided to go with the 1/60 V2's
Hehe so to answer the poll, you want only one figure? Go for the 1/48 VF-1S Fokker with FAST Packs. Want to collect valks? Go for the new 1/60 line. It's cheaper and goes in scale with many other valk figures.
Although my pick may or may not be different, well said. Welcome to Macrossworld.

The one i posed is first ed! I really couldn't care less for the landing gear, and with the gunpod i haven't done the fix yet, i just sqeeze it a certain way so it's straight (holds straight too) when i take display photos.
I think more along the lines of this is my battroid YF-19, and maybe, later down the track the 5th release of the 1/60 Yf-19 will have lockable chest.
Get your 19 out and show it love, there is nothing *visibly wrong with it*
Just to jump on the bandwagon, both my -19s are 1st release versions.

XD. I knew it would be difficult to hide it from you guys.
I'm going to start working on the prototypes and should hopefully have some progress pics by the end of next week the latest.
Making -22 conversion parts available to other members is a nice thing. There seems to be many that want the -22 and don't want to wait for Yamato. I'd be interested in seeing the finished product as well.
-
Vegas Valkyrie, Max is out of uniform. I like it.

I think everyone, job or no job, deserves congrats on this latest round of pics. I wonder how many Yamato toy sales were made as a result of this thread, with pictures like Maverick's.
OK, special congrats to misterryno. Now, buy some more stuff to take pics of.

thanks wicked ace! getting compliments from you and from ruskii is really special
As far as photography, compliments from me don't mean much, because I'm still not great at it. Here's another example:
-
im the joining the foray.....although not as good as ruskii and wicked ace
Cool pic -- the second one is really nice.
-
More fun with the -19.
-
Nice find, Ignacio Ocamica.
-
Graham is avoiding this thread like the plague.
He's probably too busy playing with his 1/60 scale VF-4 toy prototype.
-
Who's going to be doing a custom paint job??
Mog has one in the works.

Rather canon schemes. For non-canon i'll be happy with a low-vis or stealth. It's just the stripe i don't like.
I didn't care as much for the "Black Clouds" model the first time I saw it. It really grew on me the more I looked at it. The designer/builder has my respect.

Tamiya brand Gunship Gray is the exact color for those interested. Flat white looks good too -- I tried it, along with Light Blue (German Airforce). Oh, and Kyp, I took apart my brand new toy and used a combo of 6mm Tamiya masking tape and automotive "blue line" for the curves. I'm not sure what color this one will be next. I'll ruin some toys with my paints.
